I would like to suggest a "force text customization" for text templates (any field independent from one another).
This morning a customer sent me a message to complain about the cards she ordered, in which the year says "2032" because she didn't customize it.
Even better (but this doesn't exclude the other suggestion) would be if the year on holiday cards could update automatically 🙂

I make as many of the text fields customizable as possible. That includes the main titles such as Bridal Shower. That way if they want to change it to Baby Shower or Bridal Luncheon they can. So it is indeed possible that many fields in one of my templates don't need to be "forced." In fact, I think that any message warning them about "forcing" might confuse them needlessly.

I do understand your concern, but I don't know if there is a one-size solution.

With template fields, any fields NOT edited by the customer, they get a warning in red letters before they are allowed to proceed to the order page so your customer would have been 'warned' that she had not edited the text field, assuming it was a template field.

@CrazyMermaid if we had the possibility to "force" it one by one, we could set it only for fields such as names, dates, and addresses... that necessarily need to be customized.

@CreativeLeahG Thank you! I didn't know about this warning. This is much better than my suggestion 🙂
It was indeed a template field, I've sold lots of that card without any problem, so I guess she received the red warning and just ignored it 😞

@CreativeLeahG Thank you. I never buy anything on Zazzle, so I didn't know about the warning. One less thing to think about!
