I work on ipad, and I like the new masking feature with svg files. Unfortunately, when you already have several elements in place it becomes very complicated to select only two elements with a square enlargement gesture, to carry out masking. Could you please consider a multi-selection mode which, when you enter the mode, allows you to select all the elements you want with a single click. ( and then use them together when you exit the mode.)

Thank you so much!

Would using the 'group' feature help you with this? Select all the items you want to avoid and 'group'. After you have finished your task you can always 'ungroup'. By grouping you can also 'move' them enmasse out of the way of the other elements and then easily pop them back into place.

Thank you for trying to help, but it’s exactly the same issue with grouping. The problem is in the way you create the multi-selection.  ( not easier for elements you want to exclude.) Sometimes I just open a new blank design, put the elements to create my mask here, and then cut the result and come back in my initial design to paste. ( But it’s a quite long process that could be optimized!)

I'm not certain this will help, but I think maybe ...

Use the left panel and holding down control, click on the multiple items you want to select. No need to try to find/avoid the "borders" if elements in the design area.

Again, not certain if this is possible on an iPad.

Thank you for the tip. I don’t have access to the control key while selecting, but I ‘m going to check if there’s a « common » workaround on iPad.

After many searches it seems that the Command key on apple devices has the same action as the Ctrl key, but you need to add an iPad keyboard (and not use a virtual one) to access it. I couldn’t try the multi selection with it though, because I don’t have any keyboard on mine.  But I know some applications which manage very well the multi selection with a simple touch screen, it would be a very good addition for a future release of the Zazzle designer.
