Hi

I would like to link coordinating or matching items to ensure that customers are aware of them.

For example, a matching Pet ID Tag, Collar, and Leash.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I was unable to find anything via search.

Thanks!

@8PawsStudio You can easily create a collection with all the items in then that collection would show on the product page for each item 🌻 The customer would be able to get to them quite easily

Hi @Sara_H

Thanks for replying with this suggestion.

I do use collections, but for larger groups of designs. In this case, I am only looking to connect a few items.

I would want something like collections, but I wouldn't want these "small collections" to appear on my storefront.

I would want the customer to be able to discover the related items from the product page.

You can make the small collection so it's visible on the product page but not on your storefront. When you're creating the collection you'll see a drop box with the following:: "The collection you selected is not set to be visible in this store. Would you like to add it?" Just set this to 'no' and it won't show up in your collections for that store.

Guidance from Zazzle for a product to appear on a product page is that a collection needs to have at least 7 products. https://help.zazzle.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000289534-How-Collections-Work

Although I have personally seen a collection with less show on a product page.  So I am not sure what the actual bottom number is... 3 ...4 maybe... but the policy says 7.  So even if less show today, it could change back to 7 tomorrow.

For off Zazzle promotion you can use a curated link... although I can't find the help page for the creation of one.  I have an example bookmarked somewhere and if your interested I will dig it up and provide it as an example.

@Baylee @PacifierCity Thanks for the additional information!

I don't think collections will work for my idea, but still think it makes sense to be able to have small groups of linked coordinating items, For example, a matching Pet ID Tag, Collar, and Leash.

Hopefully someone from the Zazzle Product Development team will like the idea.

@PacifierCity I would be interested in the "curated link" example when you find it - thanks!

@8PawsStudio

Here is an example of a curated link.  I am still unable to find the help page for them.  If someone finds it, please add it to this post.  It would be helpful.

https://www.zazzle.com/pd/collection?rf=238713642921474635&tc=jbs_curated_link&lst=23523033726780645...

ETA: Ugh.. the forum cuts the link short... but you can hover over the link to see it in the lower left of your screen or you can copy paste it into any text field or program.... sorry...

The first part is the https...through...collection.  The second part is ?rf(your 18 digit referral id) part three is the tracking code &tc=whateveryoulike the last part is a list of product id's.  &list=productID1,productID2,etc...  In the link above the comma is displayed in web terms (for lack of the proper term) as a % symbol.  But you will use a comma in between the product id's when creating the link.

I am unsure how long the url can be.  I have listed at least 10 product id's before and the link works.  So for your purposes, displaying 2, 3 or 4 products, there should be no issue.

Note that this link uses your referral ID.  I am unsure if you can create this link as a member of the promoter program as I am pretty sure once you remove your referral ID, the link breaks.  But as a member of the promoter program you are still allowed to create links with your rfid.  You can only earn 15% not the 35% for joining the promoter program.  I hope that makes sense.

This post makes me remember the poster that originally shared the curated link with me and I miss this poster dearly.  Such a wealth of knowledge.  RoyK, where ever you are, I hope you're well!

And I have been searching for a way to make this type of link for collections.  If any link building wizards out there know how to do that please @ respond me when you post how to do this.  This knowledge would be greatly appreciated and would simplify many things for me.

With a curated link you can display your own products AND other peoples products in the same link...fyi.

For places like Pinterest, be careful.  P auto grabs text from Zazzle and sometimes with a curated link, you get some really weird text to go along with your pin.  So check it after pinning and then again a few days later to make sure things make sense.   But linking from a website, blog, etc should work just fine.

It's a pleasure to share.  After all, someone else shared it with me, just passing it forward.
