We desperately need to have  a designable envelope size that the 5x7 invites with white envelopes will fit into.  The only other choice for customers is to downsize the invitations and use a  5x7 A7 envelope  that is designed.  We need A8 and A9's to design Please.

I'm confused. A7 envelopes are the right size for 5x7 cards/invites, aren't they? The description says:

  • Dimensions: 5.25” x 7.25”
  • Fits standard A7 size (5” x 7”) cards

What am I missing?

I do agree that we need more sizes though. A1 sizes for 3.5" x 5" RSVP cards would be a big seller so people could order them pre-addressed. As it is, people either need to upgrade to the bigger cards and use an A2 envelope, or use pre-printed labels, or address them by hand, or trust their guests to write in the address.

I also think an "envelope guide" would be very helpful so people can be sure to get the correct size.

I very much agree with Cat's comment. I also think, for every card Z offers there should be a clear and non-confusing offer for a matching envelope so that a customer won't have to go to product description to find out if the sizes match or in any other way do any thinking. Just like, you choose a 5x7 card? here is your matching envelope; you chose a 3.5x5 card? here is your matching envelope. If available of course. It also would make designing easier for designers and thus result in more potentially selling products.

@Deb I just got a request from a customer for an envelope that they can use in addition to the white ones - so there would be an envelope inside of an envelope. I've never heard of this practice before, but is this what you're referring to? If that's a "thing" then I agree, it would be helpful to have size A8 for that purpose.

Oh it IS a thing.. 🙂 been that way for decades.. (thank you for bringing that to attention that some may not know this  with how  weddings may have evolved over the years)  for formal invitations and yes we do need the A8 .

1. The Inner Envelope

Your inner envelope holds your wedding invitation suite and includes the names of each person who is invited to your wedding.

2. The Outer Envelope

Your outer envelope, otherwise known as the mailing envelope, holds the inner envelope and is formally addressed.

@Deb Wow, thanks! I had no idea. Seems like crazy overkill to me, but mine is not to wonder why... 😊
