Would it be possible to not count views to a product when the shop owner is the one that views a product? So when I go to my product page to double-check that the template is correct/change the cover photo/etc it won't count me as a view on the backend. It kind of messes with our stats over time.

I believe this is already the case. I use only one browser for Zazzle, and I know that I'm not being counted twice, because I have a number of designs which have been viewed only once, even though I myself have clicked on them a few times.

Oh that's weird! My views always get counted.

It’s actually good our views count. If our own views didn’t count we would not be able to revive products hidden for optimization because of no views.

You don't need to click through to the product to make it public again...
You can just go to the product in the back end click Edit Details > Additional Information and make it public.

OR

You can select multiple products that need to be "optimized" and at the bottom click actions and Make Public.

I like to give mine a view to make sure they make it back into the public and the “clock” resets. I know to make them public again in the backend first- otherwise the view alone doesn’t make them public once they have been hidden.

Also, when I can remember,  I try to go through the ones that are about to be hidden and view them before they go hidden.  I couldn’t do that if our views didn’t count. .  My vote would still be for our views to count. In my opinion an extra few views is negligible in the grand scheme of things.

@Tessa True, but products show up in the "needs optimization" section before they get hidden. At that point you can't use the make public option - so if you optimize it without viewing it, it will still go into jail. If our views didn't count, you'd have to wait until it was hidden to get it out of the "needs optimization" section.

fair point. I still don't like it though! 😋
