I just want to be sure that Zazzle leaders know that the letter Z now has taken on a contentious meaning.

The Favicon we see on the web page tab is the Z symbol.

If this is a concern, please notice the Z also appears prominently in the design tool.

I think in those contexts it is fine and will be seen for what it is, a Zazzle symbol. The only use that seemed problematic is using it as an overlay on a profile photo because that takes it away from corporate (Zazzle company) symbolism and into personal branding as some Russians are now seen doing on social media.

Probably only silly people would misconstrue Zazzle's logo.

I just saw that on Newsmax. As far as only silly people misconstruing the Zazzle logo, there are a lot of silly people in the world today.

It's not about misconstruing. It is about customer's reaction. If they see something and their reaction is positive or neutral that is fine, but if their reaction is negative, it can transfer to Zazzle.

Here's an example, Harry's Razors has a commercial with a musical background that may have been a German drinking song. To us, it brings up an image of from the movie, Battle of the Bulge. The movie came out in 1965 and we were 11 and 15 at that time when we saw it. The music was used in a dining scene when a large group of German soldiers were standing and singing to the music. Now two other scenes from the movie have come to our mind. The one was a mass of tanks breaking through a wooded area in a surprise attack. The other was a line of refugees being strafed by German airplanes. Sorry Harry's Razors.

So even on Zazzle's site, the Z can be bad, but both the Zazzle site and forum can be picked up on searches out of context and in front of people, who don't know Zazzle. This could include images with a Z.

I already spotted t-shirts in the Zazzle MP with the letter Z depicting Russian support. Zazzle should be more alert when it comes to enforcing their content policy.

We really can't expect Zazzle to change their company logo just because the letter Z is actually used by an authoritarian regime invading neighbors and committing war crimes. Some common sense, please. I know well, there may be people with a distorted perception of reality, but we can't self-censor ourselves into oblivion.

Also please have a care for ordinary Russian citizens that might be a part of the Zazzle community and who also may be suffering.  Can we keep the politics separate from the business please?  What you support or not is your own personal business and there are plenty of places to do that.  But try to remember that Zazzlers are all over the world.

What I am reading is not a demand that Zazzle change their logo or a political stand. It is a business related concern that the Z might cause a business related backlash that would hurt us all.  The problem is not how anyone of us feels about it, but if some in the public grab it and spread it with the wrong message on social media. Zazzle was lucky that removing the political statement that "Blue lives matter." didn't apparently hurt them severely. The concern being discussed is whether the Z, especially some versions on Zazzle, could  become a problem because of how it is suddenly being used elsewhere. There is no attack on the innocent or not  people of any country, just a concern about the potential perception of the letter z. Originally, the swastika was an ancient religious symbol.
