Please allow ability to sort these messages by most recent message within each post

I find following these posts difficult at times as it's a jumbled mess in my opinion.

So I posted a reply in an subject and came back to see what has changed. It says there's 1 new message... and so I'm winding my way through to see which is the new message 🙂 So allow sort by most recent so I can see the newest reply at the top of the chain / page.

I voiced my concerns on the LACK of sorting in the very beginning. Please let us know which is the preferred view (Hot, New, or the other one) as they seem to be identical posts in different orders). When I can't locate the one or two "new" posts after paging through 8 pages of the 3 different sorts, I mare all as READ and ignore the hidden posts ... this might be an important post, but it can not be found.

I just now noticed a drop down sort menu... thank you for that Z team but unfortunately it does not work 🙂
Or maybe it's sorting some other way I'm not understanding?

I logged in this morning with 3 "New" items under the IDEAS & SUGGESTIONS section.

I paged through the HOT listing and found two posts:
8/26 at 12:28 PM  page 11
8/27 at 12:32  page 13
I scanned all 22 pages and the 3rd item did not show.

Opening the NEW listing and scanning, I finally located #3 on page 20 posted at 1:19.

This is ridiculous !

The new "sort" for active posts does not seem to post more than 4-5 items for each of the various thread topics.

Please provide a sort by recent REPLY.

Today there are 5 "new" items that I can not locate in viewing the first 10 pages of each sort order!!!

I am wondering now, Do all of the sort choices contain the SAME messages? Are some responses only in one of the 3 "orders"?

Today I investigated the SEARCH thread options and found there are two places to sort by date.

Great, but one has to do a search before the option is available. When there are NEW postings, we do not know what the post is about so, therefore can not find the newest posts. (I used "and" as a word that most likely will be in most posts, so saw that the date sort does indeed work)

Please make the DATE sort available in IDEAS from the main page.

Today, the flag for new messages shows that I have not read 2 messages.

I did my usual skim across the first 3 pages of each sortable section, then paged through all 30 pages of HOT ideas - no luck finding the 2 that I have note read.

PLEASE give us a sort by most recent POSTS - who cares what you have determined to be the "best" sort order. It doesn't work.

Still no response on this LACK of sorting for the IDEAS section.

There are now 55 pages of threads here. Sorting through the first 20 pages of NEW and HOT I am not locating the SINGLE post that I seem to have not read yet.

Why is a relatively accurate sort available in the rest of the forum, but not here?
