We are able to edit our posts, but only for a short amount of time. Use the arrow that is in a circle and, if time hasn't passed, it will be the top option. I think, but am not certain, that deletion hasn't been added due to the issue we had in the old forums of people deleting their posts and others are left hanging after having replied and others come in not knowing what the thread was about.

Yes, if possible, please increase the time allowed to edit a post at least. (I make a lot of mistakes!) 😀

I agree, we need even say 24 hours to delete or edit a post.. (I also make a lot of mistakes  😉

As pointed out above, yes, there is edit time. But I am not sure that even sixty seconds are allowed. Those of us who like things spelled right, need more time to do a little basic proofreading and to make edits. And as Deb points out, a 24 hour period would be ideal. In my case, I often will think of a much better way to word something, or will think of salient information that must be included. I am not happy until I can come back and fix what I have written so that future readers will have an easier time with the info. It's good to allow posters the freedom to make these changes for clarity and edification.

So we need quite a bit more edit time. At least 24 hours, please.

I was editing a post earlier today, when a family member came in to the room to speak to me. Naturally I closed my laptop in order to give my family the full attention my family member deserves. We had a very very short conversation and finished. And when I came back to the forums, not two minutes later, my post was already locked.

I increased the time allowed to edit a post from 5 mins (default) to 30 mins.

@Scott     Thank you--it has already been helpful to me to have the longer time allowed in which to edit or delete.

How do you post an image in the forums? I tried to do it the same way as I always have, but it only came out as a link. Sorry if this is the wrong forum.
