Hi!
Early this morning, I received a message requesting help with a product that wasn’t eligible for download. So, I created a new product that could be downloaded, sent the link, and explained that she needed to redesign all the content. However, I could potentially assist her if she sent me her link. She did send me her link, and I transferred the design in two minutes. I sent her a sample, she said it looked good, and then the problem started. She only wants a digital download, so I can’t publish it hidden, and I can’t copy and paste due to data protection... She had to redo it. What a waste of time!
How did you manage it? Is there a way to publish only for that client or something similar?

Hi @Mariholly yes, you can publish to Direct-only then send her the link and only she will be able to see it. Hoping this helps and I understood correctly.

She couldn't or didn't know how to do it. Anyway, I think I explained myself poorly. She sent me her link for me to redesign. It obviously had her photo and her data; I cannot publish that or copy and paste it into a new product

Yes, I had a customer do that to me once, and I had to recreate everything from scratch because I couldn't copy and paste. I don't know if it's still available, and I never figured out how to use it, but Zazzle had a Collaborate feature a couple years ago. Maybe the customer could invite you to collaborate with her on her file, and you could transfer it that way?

I think I’m still not explaining myself well... She was able to share her design with me, and I actually modified her design. The problem is that you can't activate the download option unless you publish the design, and since it contains personal data, you can't copy, paste, or create a new product to publish. In short, the issue is being able to access and activate the download option. If the original product where the customer creates the design isn't eligible (flat cards, paper sheets, thank you cards, etc.), you have to transfer it—okay, you transfer it and hide it if you want—but the customer will have to redo the entire design. And I insist, even if you can access the customer's design, you still can't activate downloads, even by creating a new one, because you can't publish it, nor can you copy and paste, since the system doesn't allow it.
Connie, some time ago, someone posted here about how to share designs with the customer without publishing them, and I made a small note of instructions. In these cases, it’s useful because the customer only needs to send you the link, in case you’re interested.
