Hello fellow designers,
So I know there are mixed reviews here on instant downloads and I completely understand both sides. I chose to opt-in and I am excited to have this option here on Zazzle as I am familiar with digitals via my Etsy shop. However I do have a few suggestions for Zazzle that I think are reasonable and should be strongly considered.
1: For those designers who don't want to be a part of instant downloads it should not be like jumping through hoops to opt back out. We are a digital world after all and I'm sure you have some very tech savvy people who can come up with a much easier way to accomplish this in settings, let's make it happen Zazzle!
2: No returns or refunds for instant downloads - Honestly, this should be a no brainer! They buy it, they own it. We can not retract back our work after it's been downloaded so therefore they should not be able to make an excuse as to why they no longer want or need it. My only exception would be for a typo, it's rare but we're human and should a designer have a typo fit it or in that case I would say that is the only time a refund would be warranted.
3: I understand the clearing process to allow for cancelations or returns on a traditional printed product however, for the instant downloads I feel that once that is downloaded by the customer the payment should clear (or within 24) hours for designers.
Just my personal thoughts here, I would love to hear how others feel about my ideas. Thanks, Heidi
