Blogger Blogs

I've begun reviewing my spreadsheet of BLOGSPOT blogs that I used to post to.

I have found that many have been neglected by everyone. Some with latest post in early 2023, some with posts up to November 2024. A few have been cannibalized by Spammers.

Some that I have visited state in the URL section that they are "unsecure"

What are your thoughts on OLD, or current blog=sites that you created.

Here is one of mine that I just posted to. Watch-ed Spot

I looked at Watched Spot. The pocket watch image is there, but no images after that. Just blank.

@BevStuff  Interesting observation.  I have seen a lot of decline in the blogspot blogs. Many have trash entries. I guess that is why no one is doing this kind of "Let others post to my blog" anymore.  I'll probably delete all of my spots.

I googled whether blogging is still popular and the answer is it is still used and relevant. The advantage of blogger is it puts your blog entry directly into the google search engine, so for that reason, I've been trying to from time to time to post a blog on set of my Zazzle products. But I don't blog enough on it to invite anyone to follow, though.  😏

Great question — I’ve noticed the same thing. A lot of older blogs (especially on Blogspot) seem to have been abandoned, but I think there’s still value in blogging if the content is intentional and up-to-date.

I’ve been actively maintaining a blog focused on bridal shower themes and invitations, and it’s been great for both SEO and building an audience. It does take time, but when paired with Pinterest or YouTube, the traffic can really build up.

Curious — are you thinking of reviving your older blogs, or creating new ones with fresh content?

P.S. If you're interested in bridal or wedding themes, feel free to take a peek at mine — I just updated a winter bridal shower post:
