Facebook, Twitter, or Linked in -- Which is best for promoting to businesses?

FYI, I was just doing some marketing to businesses. I had a list of 15 grill manufacturers. I went to their websites to get their social media links. All of them had Facebook, half of them had Twitter, and only two had Linked in. They had other social media, but I don't.

Every business has one or if not all social media pages because they understand where their audience is. I only have Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and my website.  As a business owner I've learned you need to determine how to manage your pages. Do what works for you.

A lot of times they just use one or another sites because those were the trends when they decided they "need" to post to social media, and they just stick with that because you gain a certain level of popularity over time that you don't want to give up even if it doesn't produces sales or new customers; or, if the site they picked isn't crazy successful, they try to add something new like instagram, or their marketing person gets sparkle-eyed over whatever new social media comes along; even a huge grill/outdoor name like the Coleman company doesn't have a lot of followers or follower engagement. Can't remember the last time I heard anyone gush over LinkedIn, but it's mostly used for job seekers & recruiters so it's no surprise there weren't many on there.

None are better. They're all potentially great or useless. It's all about if you have a "following" or "network" on them. You could tweet but if you're tweeting to no one because you have no followers... It's also about which one is more conducive to your business growth. There really is no formula to sales success, which is why so many (try to) do it, but the main following is having a loyal crowd. That's where talented people struggle. Tis sad. Sad indeed. But I'm not discouraged.

Use as many social media platforms that are relevant to what you create as you can manage.

Automated tools work best in this scenario, as you can figure messages or post to the particular targeted audience that may be interested in what you have to offer.

For linkedin, remember that is more professional oriented and that you should be looking to do a B2B association not a B2C, if you are looking to generate sales.
