Get 25 X the impressions on Pinterest by creating pins manually

In the past I've found it too time consuming to follow through on the info I got from @PacifierCity about how well his manually created pins did on Pinterest.

I did try it on October 1st this year with just one: here's the results:

pin-it-and-manually-created-pins-compared.png

You can see that the manually created one has got 25 X the impressions when compared to the highest performing one pinned at the same time using a Pinterest button (aka pin-it button). 233 impressions in 5 weeks is quite respectable.

When I saw that it got me thinking about how I could speed up the process of manually creating pins with image sizes that Pinterest prefers. The answer was (as usual, and what you'd expect from me) by using one of the Nifty tools.

I've written a blog post describing the whys and wherefores and you can read that here: https://niftytoolz.com/learn-how-to-create-pinterest-pins-that-get-20-times-the-impressions

..or you can cut to the chase and watch the 5min youtube vid here: https://youtu.be/kST_MEI8YYM

(it's already had 35 views, mostly Zazzlers, which is almost viral for me, hehe!)

I'm continuing to create more pins manually (as it's so easy now) so that I can get more stats. I know that one swallow doesn't make a summer, so seeing some averages taken over a goodly number will give me more reliable stats. But I'm confident about it when I think about what @PacifierCity told me.

Happy to answer questions as always 😃

All pins look manually created. Zazzle's pin button always generate a square image with no text overlay (their basic mockup). I tried with the browser Pinterest extension and it turned just like Zazzle's.  What am I missing here?

A manually created pin is one that you create when you're on Pinterest and you use their + button to start off creating it:

If you use a pin button anywhere else (eg on Zazzle) then it's not a manually created pin. does that make sense now?

I guess I didn't make my question clear. In your first image, the pins pointed as created with the pin button (and low number of views) are impossible to make with the pin button inside Zazzle. Maybe you have a site with manually designed images and then you pinned them with the button? Because there's no way of changing proportions or adding text overlay pinning from Zazzle's website (I tried). They seemed to be created with the manual process you described now.

Ah, I undesrtand where you're coming from... those were made with a Pin button - the one that gets used by both the Nifty speed-sharer and auto-pinner tools (with the frames option selected). I was trying not to mention Nifty as I don't want to appear to be "pushing" it at every opportunity 😉

Hopefully that makes sense now 🙂
