Hello. I run a YouTube channel where I teach people how to Zazzle. It's mostly just simple little videos showing how to make products and navigate Zazzle.
I made a video recently and suggested we all follow each other so we can share each other's products and support each other. There is less then 20 people that joined in on following each other and sharing each other's work on Pinterest and our social media sites. But that will surely grow.
So what I wanted to ask, is someone said that she had seen a message somewhere in the old forum saying this is not allowed. That Zazzle sees this as a gaming the system. So of course, I panicked and wanted to come here to make sure it's ok to do this.
I totally wasn't trying to game the system. I was just trying to show support for other fellow artists and Zazzlers. I am not some famous YouTuber, just a little old grandma trying to help other's who like to do print on demand, mostly Zazzle.
So I wanted to hear from the Zazzle team itself so I know if I should take the video down or not. I don't want to do anything to break the rules or get anyone in trouble. If it was wrong, I will take the video down and make one on why I had to take it down and for other's to learn from not to do this, if it's ok then I'll leave it up. Thank you in advance for answering.

You can follow anyone you want to follow. However, I don't think it has any impact. I've been around since 2009 and the most followers I have in my flagship store is 100. I only have around 40 followers in my top-selling store. I have relatively very few "liked" products. In my flagship, top "likes" are in the 20s, and my top-selling, only 5. People are always trying this sub-community sharing thing, but the fact is they eventually die out naturally because the members are created artificially. The designers are all self-interested and their desire is promote themselves, not others. Promoting takes a lot of time, and that time will ultimately be spent on themselves unless there's some kind of quick payoff from the sub-community. Facebook and Pinterest are full of these groups that have come and gone as well. Designer "traffic" isn't really traffic at all unless there's a multi-layered promotion scheme on the outside where everyone is actively involved.

The same thing happens on YouTube, people want to make a channel and don't know how to grow it will try this. It only damages your channel in the end because YouTube doesn't look at subs to push your videos, it goes mostly from watch time. So if you sub4sub nobody is watching your videos and you're probably not watching theirs because you're working on your channel like they are working on theirs.

Maya, give us a link to follow yours. You could put it (the link to your channel) into your signature how I just did here a couple of days ago. I follow some other Zazzlers but can only do so if I spot a link somewhere. Yesterday I followed Leah all over the place, she must be feeling a bit „stalked“ by now, lol. 😝
