New promoting idea. Promote status

Okay, I just did some research and this article got me to thinking. I'm not selling to me. Someone who considers it a car if it has four wheels and runs. Well, l don't want it to look like a complete junker. Someone who thinks that is is a good habitat if it has four walls, a roof, running water, electricity, heat, air conditioning, indoor toilet, in good condition, and in a safe neighborhood. I'm not impressed with luxury brands or a lot of possessions. I bought clothes at Kmart and now Kohls. I have a price limit of under S20, although I haven't shopped for a couple of years. However, I try to put together interesting outfits with some inexpensive jewelry and scarves. It is a matter of how I present myself.

So, as  designers/marketers, my sister and I think there might be something to the statement in this article that says, "status is an asset." They say don't sell the steak, sell the sizzle. So, maybe for designers on Zazzle, it should be sell the uniqueness, the impression of having or giving something that isn't mass marketed. Just a thought.

Here is an article that might help with promoting based on uniqueness and using a product that creates a decor that stands out.
