Pinterest 2022 Promotion for ZAZZLE PRODUCTS and COLLECTIONS

I have questions with regard to promoting Zazzle products and collections on PINTEREST.  My first question is with regard to PINTEREST PRODUCT PIN Descriptions and PINTEREST BOARD Descriptions for ZAZZLE Products. I have searched exhaustively and I am still lost and frustrated. I have literally thousands of products that I would like to create MANUAL PRODUCT PINS on PINTEREST for both my ZAZZLE and REDBUBBLE storefronts I am in the process of creating. I have seen some tutorials on how to promote REDBUBBLE products on PINTEREST. But nothing that is CURRENT for 2022/2023 or even USEFUL INFORMATION regarding promoting ZAZZLE Products and Collections on PINTEREST.

Yes I have seen the FREE Elke Clarke videos but they only serve to advertise the rather expensive courses she and her daughter Jenn offer which are great if you have between $3000.00 and $4000.00 thousand dollars to spend on their courses. I personally DO NOT at present.

I have the following questions with regard to promoting Zazzle products on PINTEREST.

Should one COPY and PASTE their individual ZAZZLE PRODUCT Descriptions, Keywords/Tags into a MANUAL  PINTEREST PIN Product description for PINTEREST specifically?

Or does one have to write a new product description that includes the name of the product design, the product itself (i.e. leggings, tote bags etc.), keywords and tags for PINTEREST?

And yes I am aware of how to use PINTEREST SEARCH for RELEVENT KEYWORDS and TAGS.

My question is since both Zazzle and Pinterest are SEARCH ENGINES can I just copy and paste my Zazzle Product Description into my PINTEREST Product pin description?

Furthermore there are ZAZZLE COLLECTION descriptions and PINTEREST BOARD descriptions. Since I am intending to showcase entire ZAZZLE Collections on PINTEREST could I just opt to use my ZAZZLE Collection Description in my PINTEREST BOARD description?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or feedback anyone can provide.

A step by step set of instructions is needed and appreciated.  I hope my questions will help other sellers and designers who are also looking to promote their ZAZZLE products on PINTEREST.

Looking forward to the replies to my post. They are needed and appreciated.

One should NOT have to pay for this information.

I want to make it clear that what I stated in my post was and is NOT meant to cast Elke Clarke Courses or Elke and Jenn Clarke in a negative light. Their courses are very a viable investment if you are able to afford them. I myself purchased a couple of their earlier courses in 2020 and I still reference them from time to time. However a lot has changed since 2020 on both Pinterest and Zazzle and I simply need more updated and current instruction for 2022 into 2023.

Individual Pins:

URL that lands on Zazzle Product - Unless things have changed (again) at P, the description will end up being pulled from the product page at Z.  It will not be your description, but the general product description of the product.  Sometimes a description you write will stick for a bit, but after some time it will revert to Z's product description.

A URL that lands on your website or blog:  This description will stick on your pin.  Altering the description will provide better SEO for the product/pin in the long haul.

As for board descriptions and collection descriptions: Again vary it.  It is better for SEO.

As far as I know, a pin created for the collection with a Z url will keep the description you add.  These have not yet been overwritten by P's software.

Note too that most of your traffic is going to come from people seeing a pin in their feed.  80% of people that see your pins will never visit your P account or one of your boards.  On P, it really is all about the individual pins.  Hand made pins perform better.  Pins with non Z urls will perform better than ones with Z urls.  Be sure to create all the different types of pins that P offers.  Use the P scheduler so you can spend a day making pins and then scheduling for the next week or so.  5 - 15 pins a day, everyday and you should see referral earnings/sales within 3 months.

Because of that description change, I have just gone back and removed my referral id from all of my pins (thankfully I don't have very many yet). It's hard to keep up with the legal requirement to disclose my affiliation if Pinterest is just going to remove what I write.

Badeesie  Why would you remove your Zazzle Referral ID from your pins? Has something changed on Pinterest? I am new to Pinterest and am still learning. So we should NOT use Referral IDs when pinning to Pinterest? That is how Zazzle designers/sellers make affiliate income. I am confused. Can you elaborate further? Thanks for your response to this thread regarding Pinterest and Zazzle.

I was concerned because there is a legal requirement to clearly state that you can/will receive money if somebody follows links you post. If the text I enter is not displayed, that required monetary relationship is not disclosed. But my text has been showing on all my pins for the past little while, so I'm wondering if it's safe to add the ID back in.

@Badeesie  I suspect what you're looking at with referrals on Pinterest has to do with the type of affiliation where you're earning a percentage of someone else's product sale, not your own. Mind you, I don't know this for sure, but it seems to me we don't have to claim we'll be earning money selling our own products.

Frankly, I don't understand the enthusiam for Pinterest as it relates to promoting.  Google analytics tells me I get ZERO traffic from there - and my pins (done thru Zazzle) get almost NO views.  People swear by it.  I just don't get it - I must be missing something?

I can relate to everything you said. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one viewing my pins. Sometimes we pin from the site itself and still there is no traffic. I tried something called idea pins. You go over to Idea pins and create your post. You can create in it Canva or you can create it right there. The good thing about the idea pins you know how many impressions you receive, but there still no one coming to your store. You can see it because you get zero views. If there is any other advice, please feel free to share.

Hi everyone. I am new to all of this. However, I found the discussion very interesting, and I would like to add to it.
