Here are some of my suggestions ..

1. Creating a variety of text templates with different wording would be my number one tip when it comes to catering to the different preferences of engaged couples.

As the saying goes, "one size does not fit all." With the same design, you may give multiple methods to say the same thing, as well as options for adding parent/host names, rsvp, reception, a qr scanning code or eliminating all of those extra features for a minimalist approach.

2. The 'event' or the couple's names should take center stage in the design. Names could be written out in full, just the first names, a monogram, initials, or a complex design re the event.

3. Make sure you're up to date on current wedding fashions such as color schemes and graphic design preferences. Pantone is a good point of reference for colors re upcoming seasons.

4. Some couples have a wedding website and as such the addition of a QR scanning code (now available to add via qr code generator in Zazzle's tools) is a good added extra and wise re future-proofing your designs.

5. My preferred placeholder text for the year in numerical terms is 20YY; 20XX is preferred by some, 2032 by others, and so on. The current year may be suggested by Zazzle, but that would make your designs look dated a year or two down the road.

6. Learn about font pairings!! There is a useful article on how to pair fonts here https://visme.co/blog/pairing-fonts/

No more than two or three fonts should be used.
Use one font for the heading and a different one for the tagline.  When making invitations, this could mean using one font for the venue and a different one for the location. Try a mix of font sizes, tag line being smaller than subject/heading and so on. Play with the letter spacing tool to give your font an entirely different vibe!

That's all I have time for at the moment! Hope it helps.

Hi Nicole

I have created some wedding planning checklists that I offer free to customers that are designed to match existing products on Zazzle. Might those be of interest to Zazzle re their wedding planning blog posts? You can see examples of two such sets here
