So.. I sold 2 things on Benable in less than a week

I was not expecting to get any sales. I still think no one knows about Benable but I think I might be wrong and this is one of the biggest opportunities for us Zazzle creators to make extra income and promote our stores!

I just learned about the page here 10 days ago. Opened an account and created 2 lists on April 2nd. My gifts one was optimized in a few hours (which I guess is what they always do if you follow the first instructions), then the mermaid one was optimized when it had about 30 items but once I added more my "list optimized" badge was removed and I have not been able to bring it back. The tune-up page says everything is correct. The thing is, I forgot about it until today and when I checked I  got 2 affiliate sales from this not optimized list! Once 4 days and one 6 days after creating the list. Woah!!

So yes, it works!!! If you were doubting about using it, I say do it. People actually check them out and see your products, even if they end up buying something else you also add to the list. Just wanted to share because I'm still in shock and it can help all of us.

If you don't have an account, you can skip the waiting list with my invitation here: https://benable.com/i/MHB53

I received the same message from Benable several weeks ago and thought it does no harm to continue--unless it involves a lot of work, which I don't have the time for. Somehow, I have to perform triage on my inspirations to do this, that, and the other thing. It's tough, though, because I love doing this, that, and other thing.

It's sort of fun to make these lists, but takes time also if you're not just posting a bunch of your Zazzle stuff, and I have a lot of different subjects to cover. Still, before I understood that I could actually make money there I sold 2 funky turntables and bagged about 4 bucks, so I'm like "huh?" and then "cool!".

We just sold the third greenhouse for Target. Target pays quickly but not much. We have earned $4.08 for all three greenhouses.

I wondered the same thing about the "gifts". It's strange we all had the same experience and in my case, the sales are too random. I did not work on any more lists since I posted here and I received an email that my lists are now indexed on google. Let's see what happens now. I also just checked and sold one more thing. Still $60 away from being able to deposit it. I would have worked on it more if they didn't constantly want me to fix something or emailed thousand times. I will put in some work again and hopefully it works. It would be nice to have some affiliate extra income PLUS bringing people to my shop.

I've been doing some videos about Benable, but it definitely does pay referrals if you get people to look at your lists. I've received $140 in Target gift cards from people signing up using my link, and I'm up to around $65 in affiliate sales after a few months. One person in my private FB group got her first $80 payment from one product that a bunch of people bought and that was after about a month on Benable, it didn't take long. People definitely use the links to shop, I have to say that I find it strange, but I've had people buy things from my lists that I never would have predicted (golf tees from Walmart, paint from Home Depot, etc.)

That's great to know! And congrats! How often do you publish? If I can ask, do you finish a list in 1 day and then never update it or you work on a couple at the same time and keep updating them? Do you have any set number of products you post? Any advice is good 😅

I have a lot of lists, but I tend to make lists that coordinate with my blog articles and/or Amazon lists from their affiliate program. I don't have a set schedule for publishing new ones, I'll just do a few every week when I get a chance. If you post at least 15 items per list they usually optimize the list right away, unless there's something about it that doesn't trigger the optimization. I just did a video on my Youtube channel about optimizing a bunch of lists that weren't optimized yet, and the different things I did that worked. I don't know if I can post links here but my channel is Kara Buntin Tutorials, I do ecommerce and social media tutorials.

Thanks!!!

Something weird happened. I removed a product from a list yesterday morning, today I went to check, and it says it sold. Hours after I removed it!??!?? Has someone experienced something similar?

Could it be that the notifications arrive when they get the referral and pass it to us? Not from the moment of purchase? Otherwise it makes no sense

There's probably a delay in their reporting. That's not uncommon, it happens on most platforms.

I actually purchased a product from one of my lists as a test. I recieved notification from Benable once the product shipped. My purchase was thru Target. I've read somewhere here on the forum that Amazon waits 60 days for the purhase to clear before paying out referrals so the payout notifcation might be based on how each brand operates.

ETA: this could be a way for those who are close to the payout threshold, order from your own lists to tip the scale 😆

any update up until today, does it still work

and what is average traffic per post

I decided to give it a chance and I'm publishing new list almost every day now. I can't tell yet if it's worth it but I like doing the lists and it does not take me too much time. Also the staff are nice and helpful so it makes me want to stay and see what happens. About the traffic, we don't have access to that info.

Would anyone be willing to help me with Amazon? I became an associate but have had no sales yet and I need 3 qualifying ones in less than 2 months to keep my account open but I'm not in the USA or have anyone there to help me buy them. If anyone has anything small to buy, I can put it in a list and refund through Paypal 🙏  if anyone can, please send me a private message

I haven't tried it yet but from reading all the Benable posts the last months it sounded like signing up to be an Amazon affiliate using the Benable link to do so was pretty easy. Are you saying there's fine print that to remain an Amazon affiliate you need to have 3 credited sales in two months?

It's 3 credited sales in 180 days but it's not because of Benable. All Amazon associates are required this and if you don't get 3 Amazon closes your account.
Also for anyone reading this, I had all my Amazon links wrong. I was using the short associate link and they told me I should use the regular URL and leave the enable auto-referral ON. If you use the associate link and leave the referral on it causes a problem. Supposedly, if you use the associate and turn OFF auto referral it should work too but since your associate is linked to the site internally, I think it could cause problems too.
