No longer a newbie I realized having a huge store is not wise.
I guess tiny niche stores is a much wiser path.
If each product had a "select store" drop down, products can be transferred with all it's views etc to smaller niche stores.
Collections would remain intact but made up of multi-store items.
Just a thought.

People have be asking for this for a while....I wish it were an option...I don't know how many times I've posted an item to the wrong store...when I was tired and not paying enough attention...or have noticed that I had done that much, much later😔

SEO wise it makes more sense to have many stores. Wish I knew this before.

I would love to have that option, especially because of the errors when publishing, but I have mixed feelings since it seems complicated to manage many small stores, or maybe I just don't know how to handle it; that might be the case. On the other hand, when collections are cross-selling, I haven't been able to add items from different stores. The only option I've found is to change the type of collection and then change it back once the item is added.

Hi MariHolly, I just created my 2nd store a few months ago.
I keep re-evaluating what products should be where. I know, only too late, the more niche the store the better.

Just beware it's been asked for, for a decade now at least. I don't count on them implementing it BUT if they do I see it being rolled out like the replace feature. Few limited to a few dozen people to make sure it all works then trickling down to the masses and hope it's not too much on the back end of zazzle. I don't know if cause equals correlation here but I want to say indexing speed got worse once the replace feature rolled out to everyone.

The replace feature hasn't rolled out to everyone. Or if it has, the replace button is hiding from me pretty well.

I am not a programmer...but I would think that there is a line as to where to place ..or point to a place, where an item goes. Instead of make it a default type code...If then...put it here. They can use a drop down menu and have the "put it here" part be filled in by the choice selected from the drop down menu. Again.. I am not a programmer...but it just feels not so hard.
I would guess that the "hard" part would be having the collections reflect the change.
