Adding items to collection bug

I keep adding an item to collection, I then test it by refreshing, and it is still there. I then add the next missing item and it appears, but the first item is now missing.

I have even been able to get two items to appear at the bottom, moved them where I wanted them, refreshed, then when I try to add a 3rd item the two I had just spent time on disappear again

I have been trying to get the missing items in place all day so I can do an Ad but cannot get this fixed

@Maralane it helps the tech team if you can link to the collection that you're having trouble with also what sort of collection is it? Cross Sell? Gift? 

Try and give as much information as you can (link to products that are misbehaving etc)

Is the product that you're trying to add part of a group? (i.e there's another color variation?) If you click next to the add products and select create custom grouped product sort - maybe that can help (if it's a cross sell) - but have a play with the different settings too)

I figured out that the issue only seems to appear on the back end and that the items were showing on the customer facing side. Good times.

I marked it as a cross sell

@Maralane yes what you see in the edit screen is not necessarily what the customer sees especially when it's a cross sell type collection as their order is set in stone (ish) with their slots so to speak. When you edit positions always view collection to see your changes (top right)
