I posted about this last month and was told it had been passed on to the powers that be to look into, and yet here we are again - same issue... different item. Really need to understand why this continues to happen. TIA
This is the PIN link: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/254664553919080888/ showing "sold out" and yet if you click thru to the product page... it isn't, and it's been viewed approximately 10 days ago.

I'm assuming this is dynamic... as things go in and out of stock on Zazzle they update on Pinterest as in or out of stock on the pin there to keep people from being disappointed if they click on a link. However updates like this aren't going to happen immediately in real time.... it will all depend on when/how often pins sync with Zazzle's database.
Pinning a beer stein right now, as far as I can tell, does not result in an out of stock message - but it may take your old pins a little time to be updated to the new status.

I would hazard a guess that the indexing Pinterest has not caught up to the indexing at Zazzle. Beer steins were showing as sold out on Zazzle as recently as, I believe, Tuesday. They must have just been restocked.

I thought of that too, however, I also checked the links I originally posted on March 14th. They still show as sold out on Pinterest and are currently in stock, as they were last month.

I've marked the response from @PenguinPower as the solution because that's very likely what's happening here. What Pinterest displays in their pins is largely up to them. We don't have much influence on when they update the data that appears in their pins, either.

So if an item does happen to be sold out when Pinterest indexes is that why my title reverts to a generic Firefighter Gift Ideas instead of the actual product title (I've seen this happen multiple times now)... I just want to have as much info as possible when contacting Pinterest.

I clicked on the pin and I do not see a Sold Out message. I am using Pinterest from the app on iPad.
I also do Postcrossing!

Very strange that the pin still shows sold out for me . Could you please post a screenshot of the pin you're seeing that doesn't show sold out so I can contact Pinterest? TIA
