Can see a new napkin style but I can't design them yet? I click on it and it goes to a blank page. I have had a customer ask about them as she tried to transfer my design and got the error message too... She would like this item, but I can't create it for her nor can she. Any help or a correct link to this would be very much appreciated, before I lose the custom. Thanks

It's most likely one of two things. Either it's an artisan product listed for sale by the maker, in which case nobody but the maker can design for it, or it's a new product that's still in the "green room" stage where they invite a handful of designers to pre-populate the marketplace before opening it up to everyone. If that's the case there should be an announcement soon.
Actually, there are a few products that only a select group of designers ever get to design for like embossers. Don't know what the deal is with those sorts of things.

The problem is it is showing up under with my design the customer clicked on it as she want it buy it to match her other products but went she clicked on my design it went to the whoops page. She contacted me via my website asking how to get it and I had to tell her I can't create one, in fact initially, I didn't even know it existed so I was pretty confused by her request. Normally it is not popping up with your design on it underneath unless it is actually available? 😢

Is it foil stamped napkins? I went looking through napkins and saw that. When clicking on a napkin there was a blank napkin in the design-your-own space that is next to the product description but it is unclickable. That implies to me that it is as Cat says, a product that is being pre-populated by selected designers but will ultimately be available to all.

My issue is how long can I keep the potential customer waiting? It should have not shown up as she would have just purchased my full color one. Now she wants the foil one and I can't offer that... It is not very good to show something that is not available yet to our customers. I have probably lost the sale now...

I hope so, but that's the same thing you get with the embossers which they've never opened up to everyone.

This looks like it might be a technical error on Zazzle's part by not making these gold stamped napkins available for designing yet. I see many of them in the Zazzle market place that were created back in early October. That is plenty of time for a green room product to be activated for all designers. In fact they came out before the dog leashes and bar mats, so they have been around for a few months. Maybe Zazzle can respond with a solution or explanation.

I don't know if this will work, but it could keep you from losing the sale.
1. Ask Zazzle to open the napkins to you.
2. Here is the link to the napkins in the MP.

Look for a Zazzler you know that has made some, provide the file, and use the collaboration tool to make the napkin the customer wants. I have never used the collaboration tool, so I don't know if this will work.

You can apply to design on a restricted product using the link at the end of this article:

@Fiona The text for the link to apply to design on foil napkins at the end of that article says "Embossers" instead of "foil napkins". Just a heads up.

@Fiona Quick Question. I have been designing on these foil napkins but the original Green Room Email I received said not to promote on social media until they were released. Is this still true or can we now promote them? Thank you for your time.
