Categories not appearing in public shop

I have 3 main categories that are not appearing in my shop. One of them was created over two weeks ago. They are public, not hidden, and have thumbnails. Is this just something that’s normal for December, or is there something wrong?

@KayCordingly  Have you put products in them yet? If there are new products in a new category - expect delays

If you want your categories to appear with thumbnails on your shop front

 

go to your store settings - advance settings and pull the categories from the left hand side (hidden) to the right (visible). Then checkbox show categories in product tabs

then submit to save

I have put products in the categories, yeah. Also categories is on the right-hand side in the advanced settings. The 3 categories that I created earlier do show up; it's just the latter 3 that I created more recently that are not visible.

I think it's just a question of waiting - keeping adding products to it and see if it appears

If you can link to your categories that aren't behaving. That may help the tech team investigate.
