Changing Merchandising Options Deletes Marketplace Department when Posting

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it's the way it's supposed to work so I hope I'm putting this in the correct forum - if not, please feel free to move it.

When you're posting a product for sale, if you change anything in the merchandising options, it deletes the chosen marketplace department, so you have to go back and choose it again. Sometimes it's pretty straightforward if the system has a good guess which department it should be in, but sometimes you have to go through the whole rigamarole starting from scratch and for certain things (like wedding table numbers) it's not an obvious path (Weddings > Invitations & Stationery > Day-of Stationery > Table Numbers) so I have to fumble around before I can find it.

Maybe there's some reason that I can't think of for it to do that, but it leads to lots of under my breath cursing, so I figured I'd mention it. Anyhow, it would be really nice if it didn't delete the department, or if things were at least in the right order so you didn't end up having to choose the department twice. Thanks!

I noticed something similar last evening on older products. No department shows under the keywords as to where the labels belong. Some had a department that didn't fit but even that wasn't showing the department on the product page. I changed them all yesterday so I'll wait a couple of days to see if they have updated since everything seems to be in slow roll mode.

Well, i found the department title. It's not directly below the keywords as it used to be. It is now below the banner add (currently back to school).
