Completing payment information: PayPal address won't stick?

I launched my new little store, things are going great except for one last thing: Payment Settings says "Payment method is incomplete." I'm attempting to set up PayPal, and I have the entire form filled out. When I try to submit my PayPal email address, I receive an email to that address saying that I have set it, but then the field appears empty on the Payment Settings page and it still says "Payment method is incomplete."

I have confirmed that I have filled out all of the required fields on the page:

  • PayPal is selected, and I have entered my PayPal email address.
  • Payee Information includes Payee Name, Country (United States), Address line 1, City, State, Zip code, and Phone number (10 digits).
  • United States tax information including Legal Name, Social Security Number (with radio button selected)
  • "Normal" payment preference

When I click the Save button, it re-displays the form with "Payment settings have been successfully updated" and also "Payment method is incomplete." I receive the "Please take a moment to review your payment settings" email with my PayPal address. If I reload the Payment Settings page, the rest of the form is still populated but my PayPal address is empty, and it still says "Payment method is incomplete."

Any ideas?

Guess what?  I'm having the same problem as well.  I read the thread - we're reaching out or reach out.  I had hoped there might be a solution in this thread or an explanation.  Been on Zazzle with no problems for several years.  Now out of nowhere comes this error, bug, glitch, whatever.

Any chance of an explanation or a fix?

 

In July this happened to me. Contacted Zazzle immediately they said it was corrected, but too late to receive payment for that month. I received August payment with July's missed payment, then received September payment ... no problem. Now this month same error with no explanation as to why. All details in my payment profile are correct. I've been receiving earnings to the same paypal account for years, but all of a sudden this payment error happens randomly. Waiting on a response from the payment department and fingers crossed they can correct it to still submit payment by the 15th, but holding my breath as last time it wasn't possible.

I might have found some kind of solution. After I posted here, I reached out to the zazzle helpdesk. They sent me a generic reply... but at the tail end of their email, was a note that there is a 30 day lag when this feature is set up. So, I waited a month, went back and re-submitted the entire payment settings form, AND THEN tried to update my paypal info again... and it worked for me.

I had created my account longer than a month ago, so it seems like submitting my payment settings form was the thing that started the timer...

Steps to reproduce:

  1. submit payment settings form
  2. wait a month
  3. re-submit payment settings form (see confirmation)
  4. submit paypal address (see confirmation)

I dont understand why this process is so confusing, but right now it appears to have worked for me. I hope this helps other people!

I wish this was the case for me. 😔  I've been on Zazzle since 2016 and this issue just started to arise in July of this year. Reset all payment settings in July to make sure there was nothing that triggered to be out of place, but Zazzle had assured me that the error was fixed on their end - I was paid in August & September and now again in October error has reappeared.
