Cover Photos not working

I have read the instructions to upload a cover photo but a couple of weeks in one case after uploading the cover photo, it has failed to show. So I have some questions:

1. If the cover photo doesn't meet Zazzle's criteria, is the designer alerted to this fact?
I ask because I keep going back to the design to check, wasting time. I can see no reason why my cover photo would be disallowed..

2. I have gone back to a design, double checked the marketing options and made sure that the cover photo is selected. It's still not showing after 2 days.

I'm at a loss as to how to use the feature. Zazzle seems to place importance in cover photos (and I agree as it helps to set yourself from others) but I blowed if I can get it to work.

As an aside: Why do Zazzle spend so much time and effort on new features (to help sales)  when the existing features in place don't work!

Sometimes you have to upload the image multiple times before the photo is actually added, you know when it has worked because the tab will change from 'upload photo' to 'remove photo'. 

THEN

You go to 'edit details' (also in that top bar of options)

and you then select 'product merchandising'

Go to options and select your cover photo as the 'view'

It might not actually pop into view, you just have to assume it is there!

Then save and maybe a few days later it will be visible, and ...it may not!

This is how it works for now. Hopefully it will be fixed.

This is really stupid. I have been trying to design my store but how can you design just by hoping it is working?

Every time i go to my store it looks different. Sometime the banner changes to something else I did not add.

I've been having trouble with just one particular cover photo; others I've made are showing after 24-ish hours. It looks to me like the problem is in changing the Product Merchandising option; that one never seems to stick. Will keep trying. 😑
