Diamond patch preview incorrect scale? Or are guide files incorrect?

I believe the 2" diamond patch is actually the same size as the 2" square patch. However the previews show it on a smaller scale.

It looks as if they are measuring corner to corner on the diamond shape ??? I just looked up how to measure the diamond/rombus shape and it seems diagonally from corner to corner is correct ??

Per the guide files linked above, the diamond shape has 2" sides, just like the square shape.
In the preview, the diamond looks smaller than the square. The preview of the diamond seems like it could be based on a 2" diagonal which does not match the guide files

I am trying to confirm the actual dimensions of the product labeled 2" diamond since there is an inconsistency between the guide files and the preview.
