Image Upload Failed / Server Error

I've been trying to upload an image for the past 2 days. I always get the same error message. Any insight on why this has been happening? What should I do to be able to upload images?

Regarding file format you are using to upload the image---
If it is a png try saving it as a jpg image.
Also try saving it again using 'save as' the same image format (png) you are already using.

Thank you for the suggestion. Too bad I can't do that since my image has transparent gradation in it. I need to keep it in png.
