In Situ images not showing in collection

I have this problem randomly where certain products don't show the chosen in situ view in the collection itself, even though I have it selected for the product. For example, this matchbox:

The Welcome sign in the same collection is also incorrect.

Not sure if this is the same bug or a different one, but if you add the product to the collection from either the product page or during the posting process, it will appear in the collection with the default view. In order to get the chosen in situ to appear in the collection you need to add it from the products list in your store backend. 

Anyhow, if these are indeed the same bugs, you can fix it by querying your products list for the product in question, removing it from the collection, then adding it back in. It usually takes 24 hours or so for it to re-index and show up with the desired view in the collection.

I didn't know that! I don't remember off-hand how I added them, but i think maybe it was from the product page during the posting process. I'll try removing and re-adding them. Thank you.

Hi Connie, this issue has been with us for years now. I can't recall when it first showed up but Zazzle's insitu's never seem to stick for the product images within Collections.

Wow, this is the first time I've noticed it! Maybe it is random and I hadn't gotten the glitch until recently. I should go through my collections and check everything.

Came here to find if this problem has been logged already. Same issue, seems quite random. Adding products from the back end sometimes helps, but not always. Some examples:

This pillows collection has half the pillows as default view and the collection link shows only default views:

Most of the clocks in this collection reverted to default view:

This one has all the previews correct but if you post it as a link, they revert to default previews except for the one with custom cover page
