Is Optimization sorting working properly?

I went from need to optimize 1000s of products daily a month(-ish?) ago when everything was whacky, to not needing to optimize anything?

I usually have a handful of products that need to be optimized daily, but I haven't had any for a while now.

Is this working as expected?

TIA

Mine has not been working for over a year or more. I have to search to find any needing optimisation. Once every few days I get one or two that need it,  but have to wait a day to actually find them, since it only shows an icon, no link to the product. No fun to do. Something else that Z has pushed to the side.

How do you search for them?

@MasterpieceCafe   @PenguinPower  et all,

One way to search for products in general needing optimization is to use zazzle's search bar at the top left IN YOUR SHOP, for example enter t-shirts, change count to 204, then scan looking for reds (15 mo and over marked in red), and ignore the pain in your head and behind your eyes....and prepare to lose days of your life that you can't get back.

But, if you mean how do you search for the products that z sends one or two at a time, randomly....
Since there is no link, you can wait a day, and it might show up, or you can pull the image onto your desktop and enlarge it, and hopefully know what category/section it is in, and go there, and then find the the one that matches both the product and shows as red/15mo. or more. Then proceed as usual, edit details, etc. Which when you find that one, probably will lead you down the yellow brick road of finding more reds....Allow time between stressfilled groans...

I can't manually scan 100k products! 🤣

Maybe sort by last viewed and last modified? That might work.

Shhhhh….. this is a good thing.

Yes and no ... its possible they are being hidden and just not registering ... plus I don't want to end up need to do 100s or 1000s daily.

I've ignored optimization since the beginning because it links to nowhere. After I've had a few of them for, say, a week, I set my filter to "hidden" so I can easily find what truly needs work. It appears they never finished programming for it.

I have found that my optimization notice always comes to me about one day ahead. The products mentioned in the notification will show up the next day at the top of my optimizations when I search in the backend for Statistics:   | Product Visibility: Optimization Needed | Instant Download Settings: Any | Publish Method:Any

The way I figure it is that Optimization is based solely on when a product was last viewed. I used to periodically list my products by Last Viewed, then go to the end of the list and revisit the products about to be hidden, but I soon realized it was just as easy to set the list to Hidden, fix things, and be done with it...sort of. I have several products that are permanently marked as needing optimization, no amount of work on them removing that mark. Zazzle's goal of getting us to freshen up things can, it seems, fail miserably now and then.
