Last Viewed Date Not Updating

Here we go again. My Last Viewed Date has not updated in two days. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

My views haven't updated since 9/11 at 3:38pm (I now have over 42 no view/no indexed pages and more), I reported it by phone  yesterday to a CSR, who created an incident report and sent it to tech to resolve.  This is the third time since January. It gets old.

Yes, it does get old. I have no programming experience, but I’m wondering if Zazzle’s programmers keep applying quick  temporary fixes instead of what now appears to be a more complicated permanent fix.

Since this no views issue has happened repeatedly to me, I suspect old servers....Maybe some shops are on old servers, and some are not. Been here since 2008, maybe that has something to do with the server not working correctly. Servers (computers) do start to fail.

I've had this second Zazzle account since 2017 and haven't had any of the Views update for months and months. I pop into most of the threads about this problem, but without a fix. It's all products on both stores for me. I do actually have my first account from 2008 too, so maybe I should see if that appears to be updating.

Of course, it could be that the algo actually means I'm really getting no traffic at all, as I've never really done many product covers (I'm kind of having a go at that too, ATM). Video media doesn't work either for me, so although I did a short video for one of my prods, I just get a server error message.

In any case, not sure whether this is something costing me sales, or not. Dunno.

I checked a few stores and they all seem to be updating just fine.

Scott, this is the 3rd time since January. I have over 42 plus pages of no views. Not only were they not updating views, but I noticed that they did not update and time of creation when I was creating them. BTW, it is not my computer, my iphone, my ipad, my laptop or my browser. I believe it is the server, since this happens repeatedly. This no views issue started on 9/11.

Just to follow up,since my last response in this post on 9/19, I have received no reply from Scott, and no response from my Incident Reference Number: CAS-8981365-W7Z5K6 on 9/11  to tech support. Very discouraging, as I already said, this is the 3rd time this year, and once at the end of last year (reported to tech each time)

I don't have access to their email system, so there's not a lot that I can do to help. I guess it's hit or miss with the view tracker.  Here is a screenshot showing no views in 2 days.  I also noticed that the product likes for  Christmas mugs and my new nature cards that are showing up in my notifications are not updating to the corresponding products.  Thanks for your help concerning this matter

Just noticed my Last Viewed Date is also not updating - says it updated 2 days ago.

As of 9/24 my “Last viewed date” also hasn’t updated in 2 days.  However, even when it has actually been working it’s incredibly laggy.  It’s been that way for many months.  I’ve clicked on my own never viewed listed years ago stuff multiple times to test it, and it takes a minimum of 15 hours to finally show up as viewed.  “Viewed in the last 24 hours” doesn’t appear until 16-18 hours into the day.  (4-6pm EDT).

I remember the olden days when someone viewing an item was nearly instantaneous with it showing up in the view count. Ditto sales.  Then Zazzle made some kind of change and they said updates would be a bit slower.  It went from close to real time to a couple of hours.  Now it’s become waaaaaay slower.

Scott, why has it gotten so bad?  Why is it not even close to real time? Can this be fixed?

I don't believe that the backend stats are intended to update instantaneously. This would be incredibly difficult to keep up-to-date given the number off products and number of Creators using our platform. But perhaps some day we can offer more real-time stats. I'm not sure how often it's intended to update (probably depends on site traffic), but my guess is that it'll update once or twice per day.

Hi Scott, Here's my info: (again)
Incident Reference Number: CAS-8981365-W7Z5K6 , when my message was reported by the CSR to tech,  tech misunderstood the message, I had to call several times to get a CSR to send the correct info. I still have not heard anything from tech, absolutely nothing.
Scott, this is the 3rd time this has happened since January, each time it was fixed, but not this time.. I have over 50  plus pages of zero views for products (I am in the process of fixing a product personalization issue discussed with tech previously) for products that I have been creating  since start of sept. Several random product views are scattered thru pages) Not only were they not updating views, but I noticed that the date did not update at time of creation when I was creating them. I reposted this just now because I got no response from you last week, also still no response from tech regarding my case number. Would appreciate your time and consideration in fixing this, thanks Scott.

While I wait for your response,on the phone again right now with a CSR…hoping to get this resolved.

Well, here we go again. Three weekends in a row where my last viewed history stops working Thursday/Friday through Monday. My views stopped updating again yesterday. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Yep, same here. And new products that I created yesterday are not showing up, including not showing up in my collections when I'm using another browser, not signed in. (Well, the last 4 out of 9 that I created yesterday aren't showing in their collections.)

I just viewed a few of your products. Let's give it a few hours to see if the stats update.
