Masking seems not to be working.

When I tried creating a mask with the Circle, I got it to work beautifully in the designer.

When I tested out the masking in the product page, the image jumped up to FILL the whole product (still masked within the circle, but huge)

I tested the change after publishing and it is still "broken"

Here is a newly published to be tested

Did you opt for a fit or fill or none option when defining the image template?

I don't recall which would be best for your design...

There was one or two great how to posts in the last forum about this...

Hopefully someone can be a little more helpful than I.  And maybe someone can make a How To post for the new forum...

Cheers,

PC

I can't be completely sure, but going into the design tool, a I noticed it appears you set the image to "Fit." It should be "Fill" to accommodate any shape image a customer might use. I don't know this for sure, but is it possible that masking a group such as you have can throw things off?

@Barbara @PacifierCity

I don't think that I ever changed the fit/fill option before.

I tested your theory of having the wrong option chosen (it was "none" - I had the same results with all 3 choices. I found that the PROBABLE solution was I had a Long Retangular image. I cropped it to nearly square (fitting to the edges of my circle mask). This seems to work better. However ... I found that the cropping will center the replacement image. I chose several different images, returning to the original one that I had cropped with the cat above center. The "new" replacement image was cropped with the cat at the center. Not bad, but ??? I'll post this one.

I think you've figured it out. I was just about to ask if you had changed fit / fill with FILL. It works on this link but not on your OP.

Seems to work fine. I have replaced your image with one of my own and it was cropped into a square and looks alright size wise.

Thanks everyone for testing this out.

(I am now testing out where this will post as I hit the REPLY in my original post) - I think it will post right under the original) ... YES it did!
