My new created products are not grouped in similar themes anymore

Hello Friends,

The automatic grouping action of products created on same theme/design but different colors, was so helpful.

But recently, this is not happening anymore.

Is this a technical issue ? Or its happening with me only ? How can I fix it ?

There are a number of issues with the store backend including products not moving into departments, products in review not being reviewed, things not showing up in search etc... 

This has been going on since the beginning of January. Products not being grouped has been one of the ongoing issues since that time

I am having the same issue.  I was going to create a separate post but saw this one so thought I'd add to it.  I have multiple products with color variations that I've noticed have not been grouped so I took the time to manually select and request them to be grouped.  It's been almost 4 days since and still none of them are grouped which I'm assuming is reducing the visibility of the other options to anyone that looks at them.  Maybe they like the design in blue and not red, but they'll never see it because it's not offered on the same page.  Hopefully someone can provide some insight into if and when this will be fixed so I can stop obsessively checking the products.  Lol

Yes this is an issue that has been going on for quite a few months now. Using the Actions drop down in the Products tab does nothing. Using the Design Grouping Feedback form does nothing.

Because the original thread is in the old forum (and buried no doubt) who knows if it's on their radar anymore.

How do we get help when the "Group Products" function does NOT function? I have many product that should group and my "Group Products" requests are only occasionally respected...  These 4 wedding suites have 14 identical products, each in a different colorway. I have request the groupings MANY times and have even contacted customer support (which only sent me a form which also did not work)... What must one do to get products grouped? These are the 4 wedding suites I mentioned (one has 2 extra products - I lost motivation to work further when I hit the wall with this broken "Group Products" function 😫)... Only a couple products are actually grouped to show all 4 colorways, some are grouped with 3 colorways and some with only 2... Please help!

My items are still not grouping consistently. I'll have one invite that only has one other color option grouped, but the ones that have 8 to 10 do not.

Hi Mark,

My items are not being grouped with the color options listed. I've emailed twice with photos included so that I'm explaining my issue clearly. Both times I have received a generic response which indicates to me that my issue was not forwarded to the tech team. Please help. Thanks!

Thank you for your patience with this issue.

There was a slight issue with product grouping due to the high volume of requests that were being made, we hope to catch up on these as soon as possible.

Please continue to make any grouping request through the option in the store backend.

Please only use this form for the following reasons:

1. Products should be separated from the group

2. Color swatches should be different

3. Other feedback

Hi Mark,

Thank you so much for this update.  Any idea if things are back on track as of today?  I have gone back and requested all of the ungrouped products to be grouped again and it still seems as though it's not taking.  Even brand new products with correlating color themes that I've created since your post have yet to be grouped.  If you can give me an update on when and if this will be working it would be greatly appreciated.

Same here. Still not being grouped whether I request them or not.  And those that have been grouped are still not grouped correctly.

Update:  As of today all of my designs seem to have been grouped.  HOWEVER... not all colors are contained in the grouping and have been split up.  For example, one design that should have 6 color variations (red, blue, pink, purple, yellow and green) has been split up so only yellow and green are in one grouping and red, blue, pink and purple are in the other grouping.  It is like this on all products for this design.  Any help would be greatly appreciated because I would love for customers to be able to see all options on one page vs. having to search for them or maybe just passing it up altogether because they don't see the color they want.

Unfortunately I cannot go through all my products to send numerous individual examples. 

There are just too many backend issues to keep up

Hey Friend, same here ... I just checked that some designs are grouped but a few color variation are missing from the group. However I have re -sent request for grouping them all from the action menu.

If I email all the things in my stores that aren't grouped properly it will be a LONG project for whomever is tasked with fixing it. Who do I email? I cannot post every item in the forum and I really don't like that option as a solution. I have requested grouping on products, on some things, multiple times for a few years now, and it hasn't taken hold. There are several things that have grouped 2 out of 5 together. Or 2 together and 2 others together when there are 4 exactly the same etc. I would love for it to just work, but also to be fixed. I can spend a few days again going through everything and requesting but is someone manually looking at these requests or is AI still looking at manual requests??

Also, if things are taking a week+ to index into the MP, then grouping isn't going to work either then right? 

There are also items in my store that show the grouping dots on the backend but then I look at them and they don't show them grouped with anything on the front end... confusing!

I second it being a LONG list of things that are not grouping at all OR properly. It's very frustrating as we know customers like to have variety. The only thing I hope for these days is for them to pay attention to the collection carousel when they're looking at a specific product so they can see the other color variations.

There seems to be specific product types that don't group in my store. One set of products are the golf items, cork screws and binders are hit or miss.

Grouping seems to be taking a really long time. Some items I created in December have successfully grouped together automatically.  I created items over 2 weeks ago and requested grouping and they still haven't been grouped together.  Hoping these catch up soon... I love the feature and I'm offering multiple color options on graduation invitations, so time is of the essence.  Thanks!!

I can totally relate.  I have also started offering multiple color variations for graduation suites but the season is upon us and I am worried they are missing their moment.  The original color is selling like hotcakes, but the variations are barely even getting any views.  If they were linked to the original color they would have a chance, in my opinion.  Hopefully soon.

Some of my groupings have been removed after being live for 6 months. I wonder if it has something to do with using the exact same words for the product name for each design theme - except for the color name???

REVISED: My best products were finally grouped together. Lots more have to be re-grouped.

The team are still investigating the issue with the white one.

For the black one, https://www.zazzle.com/z/atspv0uv , it is because the template text is all Roboto Bold font and not Lato font like the others. Try recreating the black one from the blue one without changing fonts.

We don’t support font changes for grouping (especially for template fields) as per: https://help.zazzle.com/hc/en-us/articles/360033801273-How-Design-Themes-are-Created

For the fabric, the products are grouped but the site is still using an old web template, which doesn’t show groups.

It's the same issue you were "catching up on" several months ago. Some products are grouped, others are not. Example https://www.zazzle.com/store/designsbyharmony/products?qs=sunflower%20rose%20daisy%20baby%20shower all of these should be in one group. 

Some groups only show a portion of the products, others are left out entirely, plus it takes weeks to months for things to group if they do at all. I have sent group requests for some product set several times without any result

I've almost given up on things grouping properly or at all. I cannot possibly sit in a thread and post every one of my products that are grouped wrong. Its WAY TOO MANY, in multiple shops. Sometimes it works well, sometimes not at all, sometimes it splits one product into two or three different groupings. There is no rhyme or reason. I dont want just one product fixed, I'd just like to know if its going to work and if you ask to manually group things, is AI looking at or a human? I sometimes have things with multiple skin tones on an item, where a certain skin tone is being left out grouping entirely, and if it is AI doing it... it doesn't get fixed.

Could we maybe have some answers on how this is going, in general? I feel like I never get responses to my questions anymore.
