New back end store categories have suddenly appeared.

Hi team,
I  have some additional categories that have suddenly appeared in the back end of my store.
I have multiple featured products (7 times).
Also a category called Produtos em destaque.
See below screenshot.
How do I remove these?

I went into the back end and deleted these manually, still strange how it all appeared.
