Newly created products appearing out of order in store backend

System was normal this morning and Just Like That .....some glitches returned - Posting newly created products out of order on main products page. They newly created items are posting from bottom of first page up rather than posting at the top of the first page and down . New Created items are Not even posting on the category and sub category pages. Starting glitching again about 11:am Central.

What system adjustments done in the last two hours affected posting order. The newly created item is showing up midway on the products page rather than at the top of the products page.  Please fix ASAP. Thanks

Recurrent glitch about midday Newly created items posting out of sequence on main store mgt product page

For the past three days: The out of order sequencing seems to start re-occurring about midday.

and then following morning they miraculously are arranged in proper posting order.

Whatever adjustments Zazzle tech are making during day since June 1st is recurrently affecting sequencing and other system glitches. Please Fix all these system glitches ASAP.  We need stability in creating as before June 1st glitches started. Thank you.

Mine just started doing it as well. In addition to missing about 100 products from my backend count

Just noticed mine doing the same, very confusing 🫤

The out of date order isn't just happening on the back end — It's happening in the public marketplace as well.  If sorting by "newest”, I often see older items published weeks ago mysteriously mixed in. The sort is very unreliable.  This has been happening for months.

I'm also missing newly created products and the collection I created today is already set to private even though I didn't do that.

@nicky Collections often do that until they get indexed; usually you have to wait a day or two and they'll turn public automatically. It's been happening since the new collections were invented, so not related to the glitch that is being talked about in the main thread.

Is this still happening today? If so, please let me know what you're seeing, and where you're seeing it.

@Scott The order of new items seems to be back to normal for me. But I'm still missing about 100 items from my total count on the backend. They had come back last week after the other glitches, but then disappeared again. My newest ones seem to be there, so I cannot tell you what is missing. I only know that I was almost to a new thousand number, and now I'm back to a 927 even after adding a bunch this past week. So in theory I should have surpassed the next thousand already.

This discussion is about items posting out of order. If your comment is about other issues I'd strongly recommend that you post about it (with examples) in the appropriate discussion thread. This is really the only way that we can stay organized and ensure that each of these issues are being resolved.

@Scott Ok I will start a new topic for the missing items. But to this topic - I just posted two new items for sale, and they posted after two that I had made earlier today. With sorted 'newest to oldest' no search or other filters in my all products tab.

Mine is all sorted now, thank you☺️

I spoke too soon.. happening again today 😕

I've been updating some descriptions today in the backend on my store and when I submit it and the page refreshes, the updated products are shifting location on the page. I have the product category's sort order set as newest to oldest, so the products shouldn't be changing position.

I tried refreshing the page, but the updated products that moved lower on the page stayed in the wrong positions. Makes it much harder to keep track of where I am updating.

@Scott My products are still appearing out of order in the Newest to Oldest sort as of 06/11/25. It never stopped happening to me, it's just intermittent.

If this helps troubleshooting the problem, I find that if I Edit Details, such as changing the title, the product is shifted to a different position in the product list (under Newest to Oldest sort).

that same thing happened the last time I made products as well (Monday)

Yes, I find that when I edit a title (and tags) and the page refreshes, the product shifts to the 23rd position in the product list under Newest to Oldest sort on a page showing 24 products.

When I edit the next product's titles/keywords, it again moves to the 23rd position. The previously edited product moves to the 22nd position on the page.

It continues like that, sending a newly edited (just Details) product to slot 23 and shifting the prior edited products one slot to the left.

P.S. the products that shifted out of place yesterday after updating titles were back in the correct positions today. It's just the ones I'm editing today that keep moving as the page refreshes.

I could understand it would take a few days to fix issues when the glitches started happening on June 1st

But its been 12 days and these constant glitches of newly listed products out of sync is starting to get annoying.

FIX IT ASAP, we lost enough time and money waiting for glitches to be resolved.

Everything looked fine yesterday and earlier today, but after adding a few products today I noticed my products are appearing out of order in the shop backend, at least when sorted newest to oldest...
a few of my designs from a few hours ago appear before the most recently created products.
And of course it is the weekend, again.

@TRW Is this still an issue for you?

yes it is still an ongoing issue

This is happening for me too. I'm glad I saw this, because I thought products were missing. Turns out, they were out of order and further down the page.
