Four days ago I got two notifications and since then my bell has been stuck on two. I can log in and out but it still stays the same.
I have made sales during this period but, obviously, no notifications received.
A friend also liked four products a few days ago, again obviously, no notifications received.
There are other issues such as new products from last several days not showing in my store but this usually sorts itself out after a week or two.
As this is clearly a notification bell technical issue please could a moderator pass on this information.

Which browser are you using? Is it chrome/ firefox/safari? Which os? Is it windows or mac?
Try disabling adblockers/clearing cache/swapping over to another browser.
Could be an extension that messing with the bell

@Sara_H @Thanks for your suggestions.
I’ve tried both Safari and Chrome on iPad.
I do have an iMac so I can try that later when I get home.
Will also look into cache.
I’ll reply again later today with, hopefully 🤞, positive results. Thanks again 👍

@SuePerb Good luck! It may be an os/ipad thing with it blocking the cookie/adblocker settings that needs to be accepted for the chat notification to work.
It does depend on what device you're accessing zazzle on whether everything works or not.

It was the cache! So sorry that this didn’t occur to me.
