Ongoing problem with SVGs in Foil Layer

I think I reported this a long time ago, but the problem hasn't been resolved. If you add an SVG directly to the Foil layer, it is messed up,  with a Fill Color and border color, like this:

If I add it to the regular layer first, then cut and paste it into the foil layer, it works correctly, like this:

Honestly, if this is a "problem," I'd prefer that it not be fixed. I make use of the border feature frequently, especially when working with svgs that have thinner lines. It really helps them pop when rendered in foil. I also worry what would happen to existing designs that utilize borders, if this functionality is altered. I thought the borders were an intended behavior of the tool.

It's decidedly a problem when you have SVGs that look fine without a border, as well as svg text. I had no idea that people actually used this as a feature, not a glitch. SVGs don't work that way anywhere else but on the foil cards.

You don't have to use a border if you don't want it. Set it to 0.

Hi @Connie,

Thanks for flagging this. I have passed it on to the team to see if it is a bug or not.

@Mark Also, just a heads up that some svg's can and do function with a border outside of foil or engraved layers. I currently have a non-foil card that has an SVG with a white 20pt border on it. I didn't realize that it shouldn't work that way; I thought it was a new functionality. If you revert that functionality, then this card will need to be redesigned. No biggie, I guess, but I was really excited about it.

Given what's been reported about how this works, I don't know how it happened, since it's not a foil card. I'm certain that I didn't upload that SVG onto a foil layer at any point. But now I can't replicate it unless I open a blank foil or engraved product and first upload the svg there.

It would be nice to keep that functionality, like if an SVG has no color styles specified in the XML code, then you get the option for a fill and border.
