Our "views" not resetting the clock on newly optimized products.

I've mentioned this before but thought because this has been going on so long now am thinking it's a bug and not how the system is suppose to be working.

Whenever I go to to my "Product Visibility" > "Optimization Needed" sort I see many products that I have / had recently worked on meta data and click to go back to being public. I intentionally click thru to the product page to give those much needed products some new love. I also give them new exposure on Pinterest.

Very frequently I am seeing products that I caught before being hidden going into the "red" with 15 month warning and being hidden all over again after freshening up the meta data. This has happened to me so often I find sometimes it's a month and the product is hidden because the view date was not refreshed.

This issue of not refreshing the views (even if it is our own) keeps products from being seen. What is the point of refreshing meta data if the system keeps hiding the products in such a short time frame?

To be clear, if someone else (not me) clicks on the product the view date clock starts all over again. It's only after I click onto the product page that the view by date stays the same.

Please let me know if this is not a bug and is intentional.

Thank you

It's been a week and no news on this issue.

Would a moderator please see if this is something that Scott and the team are aware of?

These PIDs should help if they need examples. 256630710049794967 & 256360576248050142

Notice on them the date modified (that was me changing meta data) and the last day it was viewed by me. The system didn't recognize my view and the 16 month last view date is still there.

I've also noticed that the view counter doesn't get reset, even if I view it in another browser not logged in. But I haven't had them go hidden again, the date is just in red.

@Fiona  I think I've found the answer to this issue with a help of another creator.

This issue started around the time I started using the search engine called Brave. It blocks ads and trackers! Stupid me I didn't think it would block my own tracks. 😳 I did a little test using Firefox last night and clicked on several of my own products within Zazzle. This morning their view dates had been changed correctly. Today's experiment will be to click on some of my own products via Pinterest and see if the view is recorded.

I'm sorry if it had taken time away from other problems that could have been worked on. I hope this is the solution for others having a similar problem.
