:)) Pinterest Issue

Annotation 2024-08-31 184501.jpgI don't want to deal with this problem or with people anymore, but this is a serious issue. Zazzle pins usually get more views than regular pins. When a pin is created and then saved, it tends to get more visibility. But for the past two weeks, this problem has persisted, and as a result, I’ve lost 70k views and haven’t been able to recover them, even though I’m still creating pins every day. It’s been 15 days since the Pinterest Share issue started, and I haven’t had any referrals from Pinterest.

I want everyone to understand how serious this is, especially with the holidays approaching, and Pinterest pins still not working properly. This is really hurting my business. Zazzle says they’re working on a fix, but it’s taking longer than expected. Considering that most people use Pinterest on their phones, and the pins are still malfunctioning, this is a major problem. Check it on your iPhone and see if you can still say it’s not affecting your business. I’ve never felt this drained and demotivated before. I really hope Zazzle resolves this soon. If this situation keeps happening, I won’t have any money for the holidays this year :)). Thank you so much:)))

Are you talking about manual pins, or pinning directly from the Zazzle product page?

 this is happening with me

Could you please check your Pin directly on your phone and see how it works? It doesn't work well for me.

Manual pins, when you create them, initially look like this. After a while, they turn into saved pins and start getting a lot of views. Sometimes they revert to normal, but if they don't look like saved pins, the views will not be high. This has been my experience. I haven't claimed my account, so I'm not entirely sure how Pinterest works. But as you can see, I used to have a lot of views on Pinterest, and I know why. I was getting referrals every day until this issue started happening two weeks ago. The result has been significant. You can check your direct pin on your iPhone and see how it looks. This is a Zazzle problem, not just something affecting me.

This is a manual pin. After you create it, it's going to turn into a saved pin, becoming a Zazzle pin rather than your own. These types of pins tend to get a lot of views. Look at the pictureScreenshot_20240901_060055.jpg1000020797.jpg

I think that you're fine as far as the pins and links go...I looked up your Pinterest account and it's working fine. The black "saved" button means that you've saved the image already, it's not that it's turning into a saved pin. I was able to click through to your shop just fine.

There's been a big algorithm shift on Pinterest that started a couple of weeks ago, and a lot of people are saying that their visibility has tanked. I think it started around the 9th, but I could go find out. I personally haven't seen any big dips and I manage 4 Pinterest accounts, but it could be the category that you're in is one of the ones that got hit by an algorithm update.

If Zazzle works the same way other platforms do, every pin that you pin that links to Zazzle is technically going to be "owned" by Zazzle because we don't control the shop code to put the Pinterest tags on them. If Zazzle has a catalog of products that Pinterest pulls every day, anything that links to Zazzle listings is seen by Pinterest as being "owned" by Zazzle. It doesn't matter if we create the pin imges or just pin directly from the listing, it counts as a Zazzle-owned link. I'm relatively new on Zazzle, though, and I haven't spent any time looking into how it works with Pinterest, so I could be missing something. I sell on multiple other platforms and my own website and they all connect differently with Pinterest, depending on who owns the URLs.

I experienced some issues too—Pinterest was declining a bit, likely due to seasonal changes and some updates on Pinterest's end. I noticed what was happening and adjusted how I create pins, and everything was fine until recently. The real issue now is how Zazzle pins directly, as you can clearly see. Anyway, I hope they fix it soon. 🙃 This forum feels too much like another social media platform, and I don't want to get stuck here anymore

While everyone has their own perspective on how things are going, I was experiencing growth on Pinterest and in my sales until this issue started. I want to request that Zazzle takes a closer look at the Pinterest integration, particularly how Pins appear on mobile devices. This problem is affecting my business, and while others might not be as concerned, I am because it directly impacts my sales. I appreciate your attention to this matter

I can't stand this anymore. Thank you.

If the item you created a post of is part of a collection, then use the collection link instead of the product link. It has three advantages. The pin remains created by you, the clicks to the product detail page remain the same, and the interested party sees your products rather then similar suggestions from others.
