It the product you're asking about is zippo lighters - they can take a long time as Zazzle needs to get permission that the artwork you've put on is acceptable for the Zippo brand.

It's not as easy as upload any artwork to them then post for sale. There are certain design rules to follow and something deemed as too cute may get rejected (pretty sure there's other rules as well)

If you multiply how many designers x how many lighters are submitted hourly x how many real people are reviewing the designs - it's gonna take a while and you'll be a queue waiting for your turn until they've been looked at.

I would relax and be patient and there's nothing you can do to speed up the process and maybe spend your time designing products that don't need to go through content review.

The last zippo lighter that I designed (~2 months ago) was approved within 24 hours. The reason why cute designs are not allowed (I’m assuming) is probably because they may appeal to children, causing a safety issue.

thank you

While the main fact is correct, the Zippo lighters Zazzle offers MUST be approved by Zippo, i've seen the word "Cute" as the reason why more times than I can count on the forums. There's tons of Zippo lighters with cute dogs, cats, other animals, all over patterns I would also describe as "cute". Many have done so in their titles, tags and descriptions. I just want to say "cute" might not be the best go-to to describe what not to do.

You cannot design a Zippo that could (in their eyes) make a kid go "oh this looks COOL I wanna take it or use it".

I do not know how Zippo does this, it could be different pairs of human eyes giving designs a yay/nay, or it could be a bot that goes through the listings. I clicked on a Zippo and scrolled a bit and found this, I hope it helps

I am having the same problem. I am waiting for over 20 zippo lighters to be approved while my flower ones got approved right away. Does anyone know if the ai artwork get approved on the lighters?

I have 7 products that have been stuck in content review.  One from 2022, 4 from 2023, and 2 from early 2024.
