Product type does not always auto fill in the HTML code

I've noticed this for a while now. The product type does not always auto fill in the HTML code of a product. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't, and this is inconsistent across products.

Any ideas?

the HTML coding for the share link, when copied and pasted from the individual product page, auto-fills the product type correctly:
