Products not moving to recently created categories.

I have been creating some new categories in my store to make things more accessible for customers but there seems to be an issue migrating products from existing categories to new ones. I have made several attempts and no success. Products are not migrating and categories are not visible in store front.

I'm sorry to hear about this issue. Can you please forward an example product as well as which category it was originally in, what category you moved it to and when you moved it?

created several weeks ago. If you search the ornaments category in my store it does not show up

Editing tags is also making things disappear

I edited the tags and now this item has disappeared from the magnets category and does not show up in backend search. Also the edited tags do not show up correctly in marketplace. 

I cannot find items I am looking for in the store backend as when the are edited they are disappearing from search

Thanks for the examples you have sent on.

In regards to the ornament, it looks like the store category is set to "New Products" and it is showing up correctly there. However, it is not showing up under the correct marketplace department which should be "Ornaments". This issue has been flagged here so please keep an eye on that thread.

For the magnet, the store category has been set to "Personalize Photo Products" and it shows up there. The marketplace department is set to Weddings > invitations & Stationery > Save the Dates and it is showing up correctly in that department. The edited tags also show up correctly on the product page for me.

I have tried to move the products from the 4WD in Cute fun stuff category to the Moved to 4DW offroad vehicle under Transport category. There still seems to be 35 in the backend and 40 in the public storefront. I will check back tomorrow to see if the changes took effect. Thanks for your patience with this.

I also moved products to a new category, and they haven't yet transferred. I also have a phone call in on this.

One of the products is https://www.zazzle.com/outline_drawing_of_basketball_going_in_the_basket_faux_canvas_print-256915509...

We tried creating a secondary category, Paint it 2, and tried to transfer them again. But they also haven't moved yet. There are six products to move; they all have a tag of "paint it".

I did recently create a product that I added to an already established category, and that was added to that category just fine.

I also experienced this yesterday but have not looked into whether or not it fixed itself yet today. I created a couple new categories and moved some already created and older products into them (so not an indexing issue) but they did not move…

Same here in trying to create some categories for Quick Create eg Girls, Boys, I've tried moving products from their normal Products page to the categories, tried doing it in bulk select, tried doing it in individual clicking on the product and putting it in there, tried selecting individually from New Products, tried selecting bulk from New Products, tried deleting New Products, or removing from New Products, but can't see a way to remove and won't let me delete the category New Products. I have been randomly checking the categories, in Boys nothing has moved at all, in Girls one day there will be 4 products, one day there will be 1, one day there will be 3, I've tried moving the products into it about 20 times. I guess I will have to give up. Is it on a to-do list, or is it a redundant feature?
