Seems to be a Product Merchandising issue for the keychains to stay on selected one.

Firstly, I believe I created the now gone basic button, chainlink styled keychain.  It probably converted to the new basic  button style.  However, I'm still getting the product merchandising view which says it has been discontinued now.  The problem is that even if I Edit the product to the basic button style product view, it wants to convert back...even after saving it.
I tried looking for a similar reported issue, but did not see one.
I'm using an iMac (Sonoma 14) and Google Chrome (v 118) - didn't try FF.

Link to specific product:

Hi @LauraLee,

Thank you for flagging this. I have reported the issue to the team now.

Thanks Mark,  but nothing seems to be fixed after 2 weeks yet, and I just checked it.  I don't understand why my cover image won't even stay either.

The problem isn't quite that. The product is totally fine and is the selected available option. You can see that if you use a clean link that doesn't have any extra settings in it: https://www.zazzle.com/star_of_david_keychain-146303328266090223

The link you provided is forcing the product to show with the discontinued style (the style=round_keychain bit). This happens because the new collection system uses these links. I had a bunch of clothes I'd updated to not-discontinued options, which updated and showed fine under the old collections system. But somewhere in the system, that original style had been remembered. When the new collection system went in, suddenly the collection used the old discontinued product images and forced the link to show that discontinued option.

The workaround is to remove the item from the collection and add it back. It should now show the updated product. Any old links with the issue will need replacing with links that don't set the style.

So that's the bug to pass on to the team. Collections are using links that force the product to be viewed in the style/options that were set when the product was first added to the collection, rather than what the product is currently using.
