Selected Photo for Products Not Showing Correctly in Collection

I've noticed that over the past 3-4 days, the products that I've added to my Collections feature a photo not selected by me during the publishing of the products. This is frustrating, to say the least. Please fix at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

I found a way to sort it out.....Don't add your product to a collection via the actual product page of that single item.

So for a new product you have designed and put up for sale, don't add to a collection from that page.

Go to the back-end Products pages, click Actions under your 'new' item, then Add to Collection.

For your older stuff....I did all mine on a desktop PC, much easier as you can have a few tabs open....

First, I chose a collection that wasn't showing my products as I wanted eg. box signs the wrong way round, gold foil cards all wrong etc.

Hover over the item you want to change the display of where the tick is. It will say Add to Collection....*remove it* from each collection it's in.

Go to your back-end Product pages, find the product you want to show/display correctly, then Actions - Add to Collection.

Check your Collection....all should be well 🙂

You will probably have to refresh the back-end products pages and the Collections each time, but I had the back-end Products page open in one tab, the offending Collection in another and got in the habit of refreshing the page each time.

A tedious job, but worth it.

I hope I have explained it ok and it helps.

Having the same problem. At first I thought it was just foil cards, so I moved them to the bottom of the collections but now I'm having problems on flat cards as well - it defaults to the view with the front of the card and the envelope, regardless of which view I selected. It's problematic because I have a number of designs where the front of the card is the same, but one version has a photo on the back and the other doesn't - so now both versions look identical to the customer. Sigh.

I was trying to find your original post to add my personal tale of woe to it, but couldn't. Thanks for chiming in!

Going through every product to do this is going to be extremely tedious. Far better if Zazzle could do it from their end, assuming it can be done by running a script.

Is there an actual solution to this, as opposed to a work-around? Thank you for posting the work-around LynnRose, but it is indeed an awful lot of work.

Clearly there's some sort of a technical glitch. I assume Zazzle is working on a fix - I hope so, anyhow!
