Bot test won't let me into my account. Press and hold didn't work.

Today I was looking at a lot of products and it brought up a bot test. It said to press ad hold to prove I wasn't a bot. This happened a couple times. The last time I pressed it , it showed a checkmark but then turned into three dots that wouldn't go away. I refreshed several times. No help. I couldn't even open an email link to get an answer. I turned off phone, cleared cache, and still no help. I am locked out of my account on my phone and can only work on Zazzle if I'm home and use my computer.  I understand we don't want bots viewing stuff at hyper speeds or whatever else they do but I'm not that fast. And I wasn't just viewing, I deleted some things, modified a few, stopped and looked at another person's products because I liked them. And it's always my finger pressing the d**m button and it fails.

Okay, rant over. I'm home and will be working on my computer to make up for lost time. I'll be up till three in the morning but I'm not letting the turkeys get me down. See? I'm exhausted and using 1970s expressions. Oh well I'll just hang in there. Ugh.

If you are using a phone:

post says: I have not been able to log into the Zazzle app on my phone. suggests:you can try uninstalling the app then reinstalling it.

I don't use app. I use browser. I did the cache clearing and on/off thing (many times) and logged out and in. Good suggestions but for anyone else who has this problem I just wanted to say it didn't work and the midnight thing (Pacific) may be only solution. Thanks for your suggestions though.

i am having the same problem. Reported it the other day in a different thread and also emailed support

Hopefully yours will reset at midnight and the coach will turn back into a pumpkin. 😁

Hey @Mecpublications,

I'm sorry to hear you were having issues logging into your account. If the issues persists, please contact our customer service team - support@zazzle.com

- Mark

I worked on computer for a few hours and checked at midnight and 1:00. At 2:00 it worked. Maybe that's midnight Zazzle time. That seems to be the magical reset hour. Got everything I wanted to do finished. It was a little frustrating but trivial considering all the time Zazzle has worked flawlessly for me. Thanks.

i submitted a support ticket several days ago... i got a response that really made no sense asking for a screenshot of the issue. It seems support has you repeat your query twice as this happens every time I submit a ticket... to prove you are human maybe? Anyways i sent a screenshot of the press and hold page.

No further response.

As we are clearly legitimate creators, can we please look into why this is happening? When one creates a collection that has numerous products with the same theme, and where design transfer is used frequently, the system should not be assuming we are a bot

i first let customer service know of the issue a couple weeks ago. Other than having me repeat information about four times, there was no further action other than 'let us know if it happens again'. Well it is happening, and increasing difficulties are arising. My originally reported post was somehow locked as a "duplicate" . Suffice it to say this is still an issue. Getting the 'press and hold' bot test while in the middle of creating a design, using the design tool, and after creating only a couple products.

Mark, the bot is now happening while we are editing a deisng in the design tool. It's impossible to create any design. I'm in the design tool creating something, the bot appears, and it takes me out of the design tool losing everything I had done before.

Getting this annoying bot message regularly —  In the middle of creating a design.  Changing from one browser tab to another.  Opening up a design to edit.  Really aggravating.

i am still having this issue

I am creating a collection that of course involves multiple products of similar design. The system should not be locking me out for this. I reached out to customer service a couple weeks ago and the issue was never resolved

Not sure about this thread, since it is pretty old, but I will post this here anyway.  The I'm Not a Robot, press and hold...uh, it's disrupting designing.  Nearly finished with the design, and as I'm about to publish it, this "robotic thing" comes up - not that I don't mind it once after logging in.  But to be in the middle of a design and almost finish it after "fiddling with the thing" for abt 30 minutes, is way off kilter and pretty bad timing.  Scr*w the nuts a wee bit tighter and adjust that AI conformity to allow us to at least finish designs.  We don't work here for free!  Time is $$, and this is really going to start irritating the masses if this continues happening.  Let alone, shrink the customer base, again.

I'm on the latest Chrome, I am human, want a blood sample?, fingerprint?, credit report?

I received the same message last night in the middle of designing. I couldn't understand how adjusting the border on a coffee cup was interpolated by a properly coded algorithm as "spam."

Pressing and holding the challenge button didn't resolve the issue. I wan't able to resume work for about an hour.

I’ve received this message several times while designing THE SAME postcard.  Both today and yesterday.  VERY FRUSTRATING

I absolutely agree, it terribly disrupts work. Today I received such CAPTCHA message 5 times  in the middle of making a new product. And I only made a few products. It's very annoying.

Same problem here. This time just working on a postcard and nothing else. Was almost finished and I'm locked out. Gonna go eat supper tu.rn off computer ... not phone this time. Needed to restart for an update anyway. Good luck everyone. Hopefully bot bug will be gone when I return later.

Just wanting to say this:  Scott is sending a new link to this "resolved" thread.  But, it's a two-fold problem.  The bot for most of us is interrupting designing.  It is not even saving our designs, as they come right in the process of (towards the end) of making a great design.  For the love of all anything good, get the bot to stop doing this!  Or start having it save things, before messing them up!!!

i am also now getting the press and hold while in the midst of creating a design

This "Press and Hold" nonsense is a serious glitch that HAS to be stopped! I can see maybe asking for it when we first log in, but repeatedly interrupting our designing with it is RIDICULOUS!!! There is no legitimate reason for it to pop up after we are already logged in, especially when we are in the Design Tool, so this is definitely a technical issue. PLEASE fix it!

This happened to me three times today.

I am now also encountering this while working in the design tool

Even I am having this trouble now. It's like I caught the virus. I never had trouble until yesterday when I was rapidly switching amongst collections I needed to revamp. Had at least ten times today on iPad AND on desktop.

Here's what I have cookin' over at Pinterest lately

So annoying in the middle of creating a product 🫤

Please fix this issue! All weekend long, I have had to prove that I am not a bot over and over again. It's still happening to me today and is really annoying.

same here. creating a collection and it kept popping up about every five products

It happened a few days ago and now today it has my whole computer messed up.  PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE. There has got to be a better way. This button does not work

I've been condensing all of the duplicate discussions into one thread, and I picked this one because it contained the most helpful information. I think I've moved 5 or 6 discussions into this one over the last day or two. I also un-solved the issue to clarify that I'm not trying to bury the issue.

We're doing our best to collect feedback on this particular feature. The intention is to keep the bad guys out, and not have it impact Creators. It's not quite a perfect system, and we appreciate the feedback. So, if you happen to experience the issue in the near future please just add your feedback here.

if this is that much of any issue for designers, what is it doing for customers trying to edit or customize a product? Sales are already way down as it is and if I was a customer and that was occurring i would leave immediately. This morning while creating a design it completely shut down my access after about ten mouse clicks. It is even locking me out of the forums

@Scott Thank you for looking into it. I understand the need for security, but once we are already logged in, and especially when we are in the Design Tool, we shouldn't have to prove that we're not a bot AGAIN and AGAIN! It's not like we can suddenly turn into a bot in the middle of designing! This is a bigger issue than just being "not quite a perfect system."

getting this today now. My internet is working fine. I do not have an ad blocker. I have been trying since last night to create a design that should have taken maybe an hour because i've been locked out every few minutes

Scott, this is a serious problem that needs to be fixed asap. We can not spend our time designing for the bot to come up and lose all the work. It makes no sense we have to live with this in order to "keep the bad guys out". Zazzle must find another solution and meanwhile remove whatever is causing the bot to appear while we are designing. This is a really big problem.

I just spent lots of time fine-tuning a design, going back and forth to make it the best I can and I  just been thrown out by this "feature". When I get back in Design Mode all I have done is GONE! This is not a small problem and I really hope you can get a fix for this asap.

@MaggieA check in the saved designs page, mine stay there

Yes, I am experiencing the same "press and hold issue" also.  I'm editing my titles, descriptions and tags on old products and uploading mockups and noticed it happen three times in the past hour.

Yep, I'm also getting the  "Press and Hold"; it happened to me multiple times yesterday(Jun 11) and again today. Glad I'm not the only one. I was worried that something was wrong with my account or computer.

I have reference ID number (June 12th 2025). I am on desktop computer and was using the new pink line to line stuff up, and I got the you are a bot - bot hold. Thankfully my mouse didn't flake out, I don't know why this is coming up on desktop because I cannot press a thing with a wireless mouse.

Scott, Can you remove this post if I'm not supposed to post this?

As a slow, inexperienced creator, I got this when I was right in the middle of creating a product and I lost the whole design. It reverted back to before I started creating and nothing was saved. Very frustrating!

I keep losing the edits I am in the process of finishing off when I have to press and hold the Bot.  After I successfully prove to zazzle that I am a human, the bot does not take me back to my edits but to the original version I was trying to edit.  It did it to me this morning and I was so frustrated with the loss of all my work that I just logged out.  I stupidly tried to edit a product again later today, and yes, the Bot lost all my work again.

If this continues, there is really no point in trying to create any new products.

I hope tech works out what is going on quickly.

Carmen

Same here. It's impossible to create any design. I'm in the design tool creating something, the bot appears, and it takes me out of the design tool losing everything I had done before!
