Hi, I noticed there is a loophole that the mods were looking into in 2023 when a customer has previously bought a product they can go back into their purchased link and see where they can transfer the design to another product even if the creator has turned off the option to transfer.
I just had this happen. The customer bought a cake pick and then purchased paper plates from the cake pick design. I do not have a paper plate design for this. I'm okay with it, but I'd rather them contact me via chat and I create it for them to make sure it looks okay on the item. Plus I'd like to chose my own royalty amount.
Questions:
I cannot for the life of me find the section where I opted out of transfer designs. I want to double check I did this, but I tried looking it up and I still can't find it under advanced settings. Can someone describe where it is step by step? thank you.
Is this still being looked at? Obviously it happened, I'd prefer that not be an option but if it's here to stay I need to make some adjustments in some of my designs. Thank you.

@BeccaNOM The setting you are looking for is at the Post for Sale screen - turn customization off by checking the 'customize it' button to no
turn customization off
It's not a store wide setting and has to be done to individual products at the time of creation.

In fact, something else happens. One of your designs can be blocked and only allow purchases for a specific size, for example. Yet, the customer can still change it to another size from their saved designs. I'm not really sure if it's an error, but it seems that once you have it in saved designs, you can do certain things...

In your store, click on settings, then click the Advanced Settings option. Scroll down past the Customize Store and Design Migration Sections to the section that says "Design Transfer". Uncheck the box next to "Enable Design Transfer". Hope this helps, but even if unchecked there are some circumstances that still allow it to happen.
