Zazzle Tries to Sign Me in with my Google Account

Every morning when I fire up Zazzle, it tries to log me in using my Google account. The thing is, my Zazzle account is not attached to my Google account. So if it succeeds in logging me in that way, I get some other blank account, not my real account. I can get around this by signing in quickly with my real credentials, but I literally have only a few seconds to do it before it's too late.

Can someone tell me how to make it stop doing this? Not sure if this is a Zazzle problem, a browser problem, or an operating system problem. I'm using Windows 11 and Edge.

This is a feature on Chrome. If you're using Chrome then look through the settings for this option. I believe it's on by default. The option was discussed in a thread awhile back, but I forget what it's called.

OK, except I'm using Edge. But it sounds like it's a browser issue in any case. I'll see if I can dig anything up. Thanks!

No, it's all browsers. I use Firefox and it would pop up except I have a popup blocker.

OK, I found the thread. Signing In with google option- won't turn off - Zazzle

Turns out it's a setting in my Google account. Turned it off, we'll see if it helps! Thanks!

Eee Gads! Well, that doesn't fill me with confidence. Apparently Google is just trying to make things "easy" for us! Gah!

I use Firefox and this happens after a few months of normal sign-ins. It goes away after a time, then a few months later, does it again. I rarely go into my Google account for anything, can't imagine why it goes back and forth like this.

How very strange. I didn't even realize I could go into my Google account - like I didn't know that there were settings & stuff! Anyhow, I went into the section on 3rd party apps & services, and totally removed Zazzle from the list. We'll see if it doesn anything or not.

OK, it just occurred to me that I don't actually have to wait until tomorrow to see if it sticks or not, so I closed my browser and then opened it again, and still the problem persists. Gah!

Cleared cookies etc, & tried again - no luck.

This has been an ongoing problem for a while. You used to be able to turn it off in your Google account, but that doesn't work any more. I've had to resort to using UBlockOrigin, there's a particular script you have to put in the filters list. And then when Google finds out, they change it, and you have to go search for the new one.

This is what I have currently:

accounts.google.com/gsi/$3p

id.google.com^

Just wanted to report back with an update. The changes I made to the Google account finally did bear fruit. It still gives me the popup asking if I want to login using my Google account, but it no longer automatically starts doing it for me. So this is a huge step in the right direction. I haven't tried @Sara_H's suggestion yet so I can't say if it works or not. If life calms down to a dull roar soon I may spend a little more time trying to get it to stop giving me the popup, but honestly, at the moment I'm just happy that it's no longer signing me into an account that doesn't exist!
