Customer New Design Tool Question

How on earth do you change a square to a rectangle using the new customer design tool? In the old Design tool, we can uncheck the "Lock aspect ratio" under Settings, to be able to make adjustments, both to a square, and to photos. But I can't figure out how to unlock the aspect ratio in the new customer-facing design tool.

The new design tool for customers seems to switch between two versions for me. Is this the one you're using? I can use the side handles to change the shape from a square to a rectangle (for shapes and photos). Is that not working for you?
