Date and Time Stamp on the Forum

Has it always been this way on the forum, that the date/time stamp was for our specific location? I could swear it used to be Pacific Time before this new forum.

I used the preferences to set mine for Eastern Time.

So did I, but I don't remember being able to do this on the old forum. That's what I'm curious about: Was the ability to set the time to our own time zone there but I was unaware of it?

I remember doing math to try to figure out when things were posted. So I don't think I ever found a time zone pref in the old forums.
