How can I delete a product?

I created a product - a T-shirt decorated with one of my designs. After I learned about customized text, I created a second design, similar to the first except that it includes text.

However, I think I made some mistakes, so I want to delete both designs and start from scratch. When I viewed my products, I saw half a dozen pictures of the design, when I expected to see two. I checked the boxes by all the pictures, then clicked "Delete Selected." All were apparently deleted except one. No matter how many times I delete it, it won't go away. How can I get rid of it?

Thanks.

You can try refreshing your browser for that page, assuming you're at the back end where you can see thumbs of all your products. Sometimes that works. Other times, you might have to wait an hour or more before something disappears (or appears).

I went to see what sorts of designs you're working with and discovered that none of your stores are public and thus lead to a 404 error. Have you purposely hidden your products for the time being?

No, I thought they were public. I guess that explains why I can't find anything when I search for it. 😉

I still have lots of bugs to work out.

Also, it might be because I haven't met the minimum requirements yet. I think they ask you to create ten designs, ten categories, share ten things, and on and on. I haven't even figured out how to do some of those things yet.

This is what I would do: not worry about the requirements that lead to 100% completion of a store. I'd focus on creating designs and using them on products. After that, I might worry about the (annoying) requirements. In the meantime, start making your stores and your products public. It's another area where we veterans can help with things like tags, which are absolutely vital.

I was lucky when I started because a friend who had been here for several years before me taught me how to get up and running. You, like many, have come here cold, not knowing a lot of the process. I promise, though, you'll learn all of it bit by bit. It's often said by the members that the biggest requirement is patience. They're right.

Thanks for the tips, but I don't understand how I make my stores or products public. Is there a specific button I have to push, or do they just become public after you've created X number of products?

I recall seeing an option for making my stores and products private, and I've never made that choice.

When you click the Settings tab for a specific store, right at the top is a checkmark box for making the store private. If you see a check in the box, it means that store is private and you have to click it to turn it public. If it's already blank, I haven't a clue why your store isn't showing.

Yes, it's blank. I'll have to contact admin before I spend any more time setting up. Thanks for the tips.

Wow, this is getting too weird. This is the response I received from Zazzle:

I have taken a look at your store and it is appearing as expected for me publicly.
You do have a few products that are hidden as they need optimization.
I also could only see one store under you account: webranger@geobop.com. Do you have a second account for the other two stores?
I look forward to hearing from you again.

So they can see my store, but you can't - but they can't see the other two stores. And my products are invisible.

Can you hire Zazzle pros to troubleshoot these kinds of things? Otherwise, I'm going to have to bail out. This is turning into a waste of time.

Thanks for all the tips, though.

i can see your stores Conspiracy Science and Viva China both with products in them (t shirts and sweatshirts) but Geobop State Symbols gives a 404 error.

Thanks for checking. I had a hunch there was an e-mail issue, and Zazzle confirmed that my stores were registered under two e-mail addresses. Geobop is probably invisible because I haven't created any designs in that store yet. That's going to be a huge project. 😉
